Likes

Newly made lush green campus with great infrastructure.
Newly appointed director is really working hard for the devlopement of the college.

Dislikes

Mess food is not very nice and sometimes insects sre also found.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

Tution fees remain the same that was told at the beginning of the course. The total cost of the course would be around 15 lakhs. Students can get various scholarships such as reliance undergraduate scholarship, TATA scholarship, NSP scholarships, and other private or state-level scholarships.

my college.

Likes

there are 2 120 seaters and one 240 seater for bigger classes or lectures. these are air conditioned. and well lit also.
the girls hostel is very good. it stays quite cold even during hot summers. it is spacious and 3 sharing

Dislikes

the faculty is not great, it is decent they dont provide students with load of opputunites.
initally this was a very corrupt college. but now with the new director things are actually becoming better.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

i am not sure about the scholorhships in our college. but there is some facility for ST SC students that they can avail by asking the college staff itself. but there is nothing as such for general studnets. the tution fee for us is like 1200000 in total. there is no campus employment.

Likes

The college have a nice infrastructure .
The weather is pleasant and no disturbance around the college

Dislikes

All are good but the college fests are less than the other colleges

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The fee structure of the course in my college is about 2 Lakh per semester and which makes 4 Lakh approx per year it may be a huge amount but there is a scholarship known as NSP which refunds the amount for merit students and *this is not for general students* and here student loan is also available if want to know about that you can contact to the campus staff they will explain regarding the loan and it's procedure.

A Student's Perspective

Likes

I liked to join this college because it was near to my home city and i was knowing that it is a college of national importance
The faculties and the hods are also better they help us and many of them are very supportive for the students.

Dislikes

The first and main thing is their is no unitity in the students which is the worst thing in the college.
Small gym for whole campus students and no outsiders in the events and not an high level event in the college.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

tution fee is arounf 1.5 lakh per semester and no such hikes are being in this college. the complete cost of our education including tution fee service fee and other complulsary fees is around 4 lakh per year and 16 lakh for the full course. scholarships depends on the state and category u belonf to. as its not for every student. till now no job roles and stipend has been awarded to me.

Likes

Pollution free environment around the college with very silent place and is stored in the lap of the nature. City noises are not there and temperature range between 15 to 30°C only. Also no mosquitos in the hostel
A healthy and interactive relation between juniors and seniors which helps one to socialize.

Dislikes

The quality of food (specially Roti) served in the mess and also the quantity is kept low.
Management is not good and the sports ground are not maintained and no coach is there

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The tution fees for 1 year is around 4 lakh. So for your 4 years of Btech degree you have to pay around 16 lakh. Apart from it 40 thousand is charge as hostel fees per semester. So for a 4 year Btech degree will cost you around 20 lakh rupees including all your expenses. The tution fees is not increased every year and college also provides Education loan facility to the students with Mou with the Canara Bank. Other than that college also provides scholarship for pwd students and Sc and St students and students of the respective state according to their family income. No scholarships for the students whose parents do government jobs. No special campus employment is provided High fees is the biggest drawback of this college since facilities provided did not match with the fees taken.

Likes

Faculty is great the faculty members are highly knowledgeable and bring a wealth of experience to the classroom.
The diversity of the student population is remarkable crowd of college is too good and accepting of all cultures

Dislikes

There isnt much of a campus life here the girl boy ratio is not good at all so dont expect much from the college
The college is bit strict about each and everything. You need to aware that you dont make any nistake because college wont be flexible with you.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

Tuition fee for each semester is 1.5 lakhs and hostel and mess fees is 22k each for each semester. The complete cost of education comes down to 16 to 17 lakh. Ther is no fees hike for that matter . Many banks provide education loan for our college so thats helpful

College environment is quite attractive.
Bus facilities for the students to go out

Dislikes

Hostel accomodation should be decreased to 32 persons
Bathrooms are not cleaned, dirty washrooms

tuition fees is 152000 per sem . its too high and less resources .... 1600000 in total of education including all . ssp scholarship and nsp scholarship not yet placed , i have just applied for internships

IIIT Dharwad- Worth it

Likes

Faculties are quite knowledgeable about their subject.
Opportunities are more and we can try our hand in different fields as students are comparatively less which means more opportunities.

Dislikes

Space of the campus is not utilise properly. There is a lot of land which can be used to build up better facilities.
Differentiation between girls and boys in case of hostel intime as both should be treated equally.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

It's fees is quite high as compared to government colleges. Basically it goes up to 16,00,000 rupees including the hostel and mess facilites. but the fest and other extracurricular provided is not on the same page as the fees charged. Scholarships are not given from college but can be provided by government both central and state which college help us to know. In house internship are provided by faculties.

College entrance and interface all over every block
I liked the infrastructure of the college which was so unique

Dislikes

It is so far from the main road . Need to travel to buy thing

For our batch there is no increase in our tution fee it has been same for every sem . Complete cost of our college is per sem 180k and hostel fees and mess fee is for 40k total 320k When coming to scholarship we got nsp and state wise scholarship available so everyone . Campus employment like we have been in clubs which has been not rewarded but learned alot

Facts of IIIT Dharwas

Likes

Infrastructure, mode of teaching, sports facility
Hostel facility,ecofriendly relations with faculties and seniors.

Dislikes

On somedays mess food tastes very bad, need to remove some unimportant subjects.
Chicken is not present in the mess menu which is very sad.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

Institution fee -155000 Hostel fees-22000 Mess fees-20000 This is per semester We can apply scholarships such as NSP and can avail scholarship if possible. There is no scholarship for any category from college side.
