BASLP is the flagship program at NIEPMD. For admission 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry and any one of Biology / Mathematics / Computer Science / Statistics / Electronics / Psychology with an aggregate of 50% marks and need to appear for CET (Tamil Nadu Central Entrance Test).

Admission to all the UG programs at NIEPMD is through CET (Tamil Nadu Central Entrance Test). Generally CET application form commenced in May to June, with the application fee of INR 1,300. The CET exam date is June 22, 2025 (Tentative). After applications close, the college releases merit lists for each course on its official website.

NIEPMD also offers postgraduate programs such as M.Phil. (Clinical Psychology), PGDEI, and M.Ed. All PG applicants must have completed a UG degree from a recognised university. Admission to PG programs is based on merit. Entrance exams are generally not required for postgraduate courses, except for the M.Phil program.

NIEPMD BASLP Admission 2025

BASLP is the flagship program at NIEPMD. The total seat intake for the BASLP program is 27 seats. For admission to the BASLP program candidates must have passed 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry and any one of Biology / Mathematics / Computer Science / Statistics / Electronics / Psychology with an aggregate of 50% marks and need to appear for CET (Tamil Nadu Central Entrance Test). The first round seat allotment of CET scheduled on July 14, 2025, and the second round seat allotment on July 28, 2025. The total fee for the BASLP program is between INR 1.43 to 1.62 Lakhs.

For admission to the BPT program. The total seat intake for the BST program is 28 seats. For admission to the BPT program candidates must have passed 10 + 2 in PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) with minimum of 50 % and need to appear for CET (Tamil Nadu Central Entrance Test). The first round seat allotment of CET scheduled on July 14, 2025, and the second round seat allotment on July 28, 2025, while the third round seat allotment on Aug 09, 2025. The total fee for the BPT program is between INR 1.43 Lakhs.

NIEPMD M.Phil Admission 2025

For admission to the M.Phil program. The total seat intake for the M.Phil program is 13 seats. For admission to the M.Phil program candidates must have a Post‑graduation degree in Psychology/Applied/Counselling Psychology (MA/MSc) with minimum of 55 % aggregate and need to appear for Institute Entrance Test + Personal Interview + Selection by Dept. Head committee. The total fee for the M.Phil program is around INR 2.4 Lakhs.

NIEPMD Diploma Admission 2025

For admission to the Diploma program candidates must have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50%. Admission is based on merit or All India Online Aptitude Test (AIOAT) conducted by Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). The total seat intake for the Diploma program is 35 seats. The total fee for the Diploma program is INR 18,800 - 23,100 for First Year.

NIEPMD college insight

Admission:

First of all, this is the only college in India for multiple disabilities.Second of all, it is Asias first college for people with multiple disabilities.I choose this college as it's a national institute and comes under the department of social justice and welfare, there is always recognitiin for national institutes, i got other colleges but I opted for this because 1) due to lower fees 2) central govt institute 3)Deals with Multiple Disabilities. The admission process to come to this college can be done through 2 ways: 1) Through CET(Common entrance test) 2) Through Tamilnadu state counselling 10 seats are reserved for state students and the remaining 18 seats are for all over india

For getting in this college we have to give CET held by nild at that time. There were only three colleges offering the courses (Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics) that time NILD in Kolkata, SVNIRTAR in Cuttack, NIEPMD in Chennai. Now there are five institute offering courses. My common rank was 366 in General Category at that time. I was called for counselling. Counselling letter was recieved by me by speed post. My counselling day was on third day, I was interested in SVNIRTAR as it is the oldest and famous insititute. My first preference was Bachelor of Physiotherapy in SVNIRTAR. But my hopes got broken when i saw that all seat have been filled for the general category in both NILD , SVNIRTAR and 2 seats were remaining in NIEPMD. I had not imagined that.Even i left hope that I will get the admission. But Miracle or something else I got the seat and as it is national institute everyone was happy > Comparing NIEPMD, other institutes were not that good. NILD infrastructure is very old just like a govt hospital and too situtated inside a road, Plus hostel were not provided immediately. >SVNIRTAR was very far from the main city and same govt. hospital feels >We have to be 12th pass with 50% aggregate in (Physics, Chemistry and Biology )Subject > Date of birth should be more than 17 and less than 27 at that time >Mostly students prefer BPT rather BOT

Niepmd - ASIA'S only college for multiple disabilities

Admission:

-I got confirmed admission in niepmd only and i choosed this college because this is asia only college which is working for multiple disabilities in college more than 25 courses are running - No , i preffered to be in this same college only - we have to prepare for CET exam in that 5 colleges will be there we have to choose among them and if seat will be available or alloted to us then we have to go to the respective colleges submit our documents and we have to fill admissions form then they will give us a joining date then we have to join college - eligibility is 12th pass with science and math Only exam for admission is CET but in next two year this course will come under NEET

Everything you need to know - NIEPMD

Admission:

I didn't choose for this. I landed this by pure luck and coincidence and I'm glad I did. But if you want to compare with other colleges then I would say even if it is lacking in other unimportant things and aspects it is solid for academics and things which matter more. (Money after placement) There are 2 forms of admission process you can get in either by counselling after writing the exam CET (common entrance test) or by other means like by being a person hailing from Tamil Nadu. There is special reservation for TN people and counselling separately for them as well.

Usually I took niepmd Ot from referral and also it is near to my home and also followed my passion 1. Bot is the first preference of mine,if not I would take any other courses in the same college itself. 2. Students can join niepmd through Common entrance test (CET) through official website of niepmd And also students from Tn can join through State councelling based on cut off mark of their HSC 2nd yr .

Admission:

Admission process In every year Common Entrance Test (CET)has been conducted, In the month of April or May (Registration form is out one month prior to entrance exam)..This CET exam is conducted for admission in 4 colleges ( NILD Kolkata...SVNIRTAR Cuttuk...PDUNIPPD Delhi and my college NIEPMD, Chennai..). Seat is allotted on the basis of rank secured in CET exam... In my college NIEPMD having total 28 seats of BPT .10 seat of BPT reserved for State quota (Tamilnadu Students who has been passed 12th exam in tamilnadu)..rest of 18 seats are for all over the India ...
