MITS Varikoli Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Placements is the main factor which influenced me to choose this course. We will get only 4-4.5 months for each semesters . There will be 100 mark exam, duration: 3hrs.The exams are not too tough, we can pass the exam easily.

The placements offered are excellent. You get placement offers higher here compared to other private colleges like Rajagiri and TocH. Currently even though it is recession, we got many core offers, like L&T Ashok, Leyland, Vguard, RDC cement, Synopsys, Cadence etc for non-IT departments. The average package is 4.5 Lpa. Last year the highest package was 15Lpa(Cadence), and 13 Lpa( Synopsys) both from the Electrical Department. For CS you can get many offers.

The course curriculum is good and if we follow it in the right way, it is quite easy. The exam dates are in a way having enough study leaves, so it is easy for us to be prepared for it. Basically, the course is divided into even and odd semesters. But now, it seems like everything is the same. Even if it is an even or odd sems, the no of working days is less. We dont have much time for studying or for being well prepared. It is a major fault

As a civil student the collage provides a good curriculum.I provides us with good labs which have all the equipments we need for studies.As a civil student I think practicals are more effective than theory classes as it helps us to show real world application.I think the course curriculum has to give practicals more that theory topics.

The number of placements provided is a decent number and starting from semester six it would start. Many prominent companies like ibm, Soti are here for selecting children after conducting a coding test.

The placement ratio of the college is very high. We will be eligible for campus placements for sixth semester onwards. Mainly many IT companies comes for the placement with an average package of 4 lakhs. The placement ratio is very high, if there are total of 600 students then above 500 of students will get placed.

The course that I took is good and higher opportunities are awaiting I guess and AI is the future so I will be good but Completing this course Is another level of headache daily assignments, tests, exams and all. Teaching methods are good and understandable.

As per my knowledge, i believe my college provides one of the best placements in kerela,especially for the cs department. As i have mentioned earlier our college has been rated the best for cs under ktu.

The course and curriculum is too skeleptal for the students. Working days are less when compared to exam days. Every month tests are held. This instead of helping the students to learn are creating unwanted pressure among students .

For third year all students receive campus placement training and this year even second years are being given small training. They teach us about resume building and provide opportunities for internships and entrepreneurships. There is many clubs for developing skills and those helps in resume building and everyone is encouraged to be in these clubs. Companies like WIPRO, IBM and UST global have come here for recruitment as far as I know. Almost all students get placed and the average package is about 5-8 LPA . I plan on doing work for a year and proceeding to furthered studies after that, probably in MBA
