A Joint Entrance Test (JET) is held by Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune and Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI), Kolkata. Different parameters determine the performance of written and oral examination, a final merit list is announced by the Institute for the selection of candidates. The final merit list is prepared on the basis of 1st and 2nd result lists each carrying 50% weightage in subject to qualifying on a medical test.

The admission is completely based on entrance exam.Within few days of selection I received my joining letter and according to the mentioned date I appeared in the university in order to carry out my documentations and paper works.

All in all the admission process is wholesome and tests the students fully.
