The fees structure of delhi university is very simple we have to pay fees semester wise and delhi university fees is also very low .so that's the part i really liked about delhi university .yes delhi university provides scholarship also.
They are very well experienced and most are phd holders, even the guest lecturers are so talented and inspiring and have a way to handle the students.
Last but not the least i liked the infrastructure too..the new building is just awesome. it is the best building among all the colleges.

Dislikes

The benches in the classroom is bad. the white board is also not good
The entrance exam was good but the normalisation process was very disappointed which was for no reason and the biggest game player was obviously the reservation quota(sc/st/obc).
Some teachers are very bad in teaching and they does not focus on student

The college has a very good environment full of positive vibe.
The teachers are very experienced as well as supportive.
The infrastructre is very clean and good.

Dislikes

The canteen is not good and sometimes unhygienic.
The desks are old and there is a chance that they might break
There is sometimes alot of outside disturbances.

i would rate the curriculum 4/5. the couse curriculum is relatively relevant to industry needs but not apllicable to be streen smart.I personally feel that there are some scopes for updating to reflect the constantly changes.

Zakir 1st Sem experience

Likes

overall college is nice. environment is peaceful
and also the connectivity from college to college is good
there are students from different region of india. the girls to boys ratio is approx. 40:60

Dislikes

there is a new building of zakir husain delhi college that was super nice but due to some reasons they don't open that building.
there are some elections related chaos they interrupt classes at election time.
nothing more Zakir husain college is good you can not super good but you also can not bad. its a nice place for students.

i would say that the relevance and comprehensiveness of course were at 4.5/5 relevance- the relevance to the industrial needs is good it well coververd regarding the essentials as well as skills needed. this means that thers's a lot of effort put by the course designers in keeping with the latest trends and developments. comprehensiveness- it is preetty inclusive covering multiple things as in their activies and functions. the courses are properly structured content in an organized manner yet i feel a few could be deepened and some might lacking.

Not satisfied from zakir hussain college

Likes

I liked only the infrastructure of the new building which is haven't opened yet.
Tearcher behaviour is good and they teach very good
It is very close to the delhi gate metro station.

Dislikes

It's old buliding infrastructure not enough classrooms
Sports , food and water facilities is not good
Benchs quality is not good .. in summer the fans is not working properly

I have studied commerce in the 12 standard int he previous school in which I have studied in. Therefore I prefer to take admission int he b.com programme department . And I am very satisfied with my course . The teachers are all very good and well managed according to our course And the attendance required to sit in the examination is 66 percentage which good for the students And I have no ideas for improvement because I am satisfied with the academic

All About Zakir Husain Delhi College.

Likes

The college is located in a good location which was very much accessible to me via Indian railways. being a government college it allowed me to make a railway student pass which cost around 150 Rs for 3 months. It is also accessible via metro and Bus
The college canteen was very good during my batch. The food was very tasty and healthy prepared with hygiene kept in mind. Also the prices were very reasonable. Chilli potato, aaloo naan, aaloo puri, chole bhature were some of the best items.
Gardening is my hobby and the college is also very fond of it. It takes part in Delhi University's annual gardening competition in which it wins many prizes. My team won first and third prize in consecutive years. The gardening staff is very helpful

Dislikes

The college campus is very small. It did not have sports ground also due to which they do not organise big events. student parking is not allowed inside the college. Small placement drive(can experienc) and college fest is conducted unworthy to join.
Teachers look experienced and knowledgeable but they wont help or tell you things by their own. Student should go and ask them out about things, like what should they do apart from college studies. Being govt. organisation teachers do not bother much
My social life at college was very bad as I sticked to my friend group of 10 students. Students should reach out to all students of their class and also try to interact with seniors as they wont come to you on their own. Also take part in club events

Placement Experience:

My college did not provided much Placement assistance. It do hold placement drive but it not much worthy. Students should look for out campus placements or should apply in other colleges of DU if they are allowed to do so. Talking about the employability, One should learn the concepts well taught in the course and do internships after which they can get jobs in market easily.

Reality of Off campus colleges of Delhi university which is often neglected

Likes

affordable fee. everyone can afford as it is a government college
faculty is a bit supportive. They understand u in times of you personal hardships
eventually my social interaction improved after going to college

Dislikes

infrastructure is really poor. College has a new building but is not inaugrated from years
no placement assistance, Cannot expect any monetary benifit from this college
no funds to spend on college i feel this because they didnt allow to turn on AC of auditorium, and the reason was that the expense of evening college was borne by morning college

course curicullum is good and covers good topics like in financial management we have done practical implications of various things on excel which gives u a snese of confidence also teachers are supportive most of the tmes. But there are a lot of assignments which is a waste of time

Zakir Hussain college to go for

Likes

The new building which is recently constructed is pretty decent
The faculty is very experienced and there is a lot to learn from them
The college has a big ground for the students to participate in certain activities

Dislikes

The old building needs the construction urgently
In the classrooms ain't having any ACS so it's very difficult to sit in the class during the summers
College campus isn't very big but it is fine

Placement Experience:

After the second semester the students are eligible for campus placements the certain companies like ICICI and other bank affiliated companies visits the college for placement purposes The average package offered by our college would be 5 lakhs per annum and the highest would be around 13 to 14 lacs per annum Around 85% of the students got place last year

Campus Size is huge. Facilities are available like library, computer lab etc.
Many societies for the skill development and growth opportunities
Faculty is helpful and approachable. Gives attention to students

Dislikes

Low maintenance. Classrooms lack cleanliness. Walls are torn
Water logging. Bad drainage system makes it hard during monsoons
Ground is closed. No sport activities held in ground

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from the 5th semester which is the beginning of the 3rd year. Placements are average ranging from 300000 pa to 500000 pa. Highest package goes to 2500000 pa. 70% students get placed which is a good percentage. Many top recruiters like ICIC bank, Max life insurance etc. have come to offer placements in campus.

I chose this course because I am from the commerce stream and I love to learn subjects like accountancy, business studies, and economics. The area of improvement should be in the teaching of accountancy, I prefer to use software for doing accounting instead of doing it on paper because in the future when we go to the MNCs to work so we will have to do accounting on software like tally and excel and not on paper sheets. We have semester-wise exams and we have 3 core subjects and thier difficulty level is moderate according to the college level.

As much as I could gather information about Zakir Husain Delhi College DU from some of my friends, everyone gives almost similar responses and reviews about the college.

In terms of infrastructure, the college has a chance to compete with the prestigious and leading colleges out there. The campus includes Wi-Fi, a magnificent green space, inspiring classrooms, elevators for those with disabilities, a canteen with an affordable menu, a mother dairy, and practice-friendly labs.

The professors are incredibly helpful for both personal and professional matters.

In today’s world, online education may be difficult, but they have adapted successfully. They are also excellent with offline material. The courses cover everything in detail and prepare students to take on real-world issues in the workplace. Exams during the semester are neither very difficult nor difficult. Students can pass with ease if they are properly prepared and have studied.
