The fees structure of delhi university is very simple we have to pay fees semester wise and delhi university fees is also very low .so that's the part i really liked about delhi university .yes delhi university provides scholarship also.
They are very well experienced and most are phd holders, even the guest lecturers are so talented and inspiring and have a way to handle the students.
Last but not the least i liked the infrastructure too..the new building is just awesome. it is the best building among all the colleges.

Dislikes

The benches in the classroom is bad. the white board is also not good
The entrance exam was good but the normalisation process was very disappointed which was for no reason and the biggest game player was obviously the reservation quota(sc/st/obc).
Some teachers are very bad in teaching and they does not focus on student

The Real Ups and Downs of the First DU College

Likes

My department (the best psychology co-ed college in UOD), our professors, my current and junior batches.
Separate common rooms for boys and girls
New building that is currently in for inauguration

Dislikes

Boys who catcall incessantly, rumours about a sexual harassment case
Low security for females even in said safe spaces
New building taking forever to be opened and low quality infrastructure

The placement cell is quite active in updating students regarding internships and placements. However, I have not participated in college placements. I had previously participated in placements offered by the North Camous and got placed at a Career Development Centre.

Zakir Hussain: Improving steadily but we still got miles to go

Likes

teachers are really great and supportive
the area is green and somewhat well maintained by govt college standards
accessibility to principals and higher officials so each student is heard

Dislikes

canteen has sub par food and is quite unhygenic
wifi has no internet in it which is frustrating
the network coverage of the college is EXTREMELY bad.....its hard even calling

Placement Experience:

for campus placement is eligible for 4th and 3rd years ONLY but you can land an internship in the 1st sem only...not that hard, just catch the placement drives. 30-40 percent are able to secure an internship my plans are to do masters abroad and do research

ZHDC in and out! It's a DU college fellas!

Likes

Welcoming Psychology Department, gives importance to the subject of which it is worth.
Meticulous and hardworking Professors. Although, there are some of the professors that are lazy or do not take much classes, BUT THERE ARE MORE PROFESSORS WHO LOVE TEACHING.
Zakir Husain Delhi College is the oldest college, therefore it has a legacy.

Dislikes

The cleanliness of the washrooms can be maintained.
There were certain infrastructure problems that could have been taken care of, such as the benches could be renewed, the fans and the ceiling could be repaired.

Course Curriculum Overview:

PSYCHOLOGY can never be "out-of-relevance". The course is actually very relevant in todays time. I guess eacj andd every one should have the knowledge about the HUMAN PSYCHE in order to function to our full potential. The course is comprehensive and also very doable at the same time as there are not many things to take care of its just exams and practicals that needs to be dealt with.

Review on Zakir Husain Delhi College

Likes

The faculty of the college is extremely knowledgeable and is experienced. The teachers as well as the students in the college are from across India.
The societies are a must explore in the college. The Indian music, Western Music, Indian Dance and Western Dance
The college has a vibrant environment and allows us to gain experience, learn and make networks.

Dislikes

The infrastructure is a little old owing to the fact that the college is the oldest college of the Delhi University
However the new building of the college is due to open soon as the construction is now over.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course can be made more practical based for the students, for which a new option of internships has also been introduced by the college in order to provide the students with more hands on experience. The curriculum is updated and the topics and materials are extremely helpful in creating a strong foundation for the children.

College Experience at Delhi University

Likes

Campus society are great with seniors helping other students with new interest such as debate and MUN experience
Faculty are friendly and always available for help and you can reach to them at any moment in the staff room.
Infrastructure of the Psychology lab is great compared to rest of the college which provides us with better opportunities

Dislikes

The infrastructure sucks with the 11 floor building yet to be opened for students
Placement cell of the college is below average with no works
No annual fest or any social events which are really not great

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to study Psychology so I put this course high in priority list . Only two college provide psychology course for boys in du and I got in one . Faculty is great the ratio is 1:40 and most faculty are PhD and professor. There are guest professor too which also teach friendly . Term exam was every 3 months one semester and if you have attended the lecture you will get good marks easily

Likes

It's one of the old college so it was beautiful
There were many flowers and nice auditorium

Dislikes

The campus is compact, and unfortunately, we lacked the opportunity to use the new building. Additionally, there was no garden space available for sitting.

Overall, it was a positive experience. I opted for this course due to a genuine interest in the subject, pursuing a BA to deepen my understanding. The faculty, while varying in quality, included both qualified and PhD-holding teachers. The end-term exams were manageable, especially with preparation using previous year's questions, ensuring a passable outcome.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose B.A. Psychology Honors because of my keen interest in knowing and understanding human behavior. Zakir Husain College is the best college for psychology in the whole of DU. The faculty: student ratio is fine. there are enough teachers to cover each subject. The faculty and the teachers are highly qualified and all of them have a Ph.D. degree. We have an average of 1-hour of classes for each subject. The teaching method is also very interesting, including ppts, videos, worksheets, movie time, and role-play. The term exams were held timely and you can pass the exams if you have a thorough understanding of the concepts.

Life in Zakir Husain

Course Curriculum Overview:

Psychology is an interesting subject and i wanted to do something in this course for which i got admission in this course. The department is good as compared to other departments. the faculty is strict . the environment is strict. There are many for in each department. One paper are divided between two teachers mostly. good point - Some teachers are helpful, punctual, intelligent, supportive. bad points - strict timetable. bad coordination among faculty, no activities , no webinar for students. DU conduct exam for all its college at same time . exam are conducted semester wise . papers are not so difficult . one can get good marks after reading previous years .

You can play anything you want to, and with anyone you desire to.Come visit ZHDC, (you will be allowed to enter the campus after having a pass from the reception) and see we have evolved.

As much as I could gather information about Zakir Husain Delhi College DU from some of my friends, everyone gives almost similar responses and reviews about the college.

In terms of infrastructure, the college has a chance to compete with the prestigious and leading colleges out there. The campus includes Wi-Fi, a magnificent green space, inspiring classrooms, elevators for those with disabilities, a canteen with an affordable menu, a mother dairy, and practice-friendly labs.

The professors are incredibly helpful for both personal and professional matters.

In today’s world, online education may be difficult, but they have adapted successfully. They are also excellent with offline material. The courses cover everything in detail and prepare students to take on real-world issues in the workplace. Exams during the semester are neither very difficult nor difficult. Students can pass with ease if they are properly prepared and have studied.
