B. Voc Food Processing Technology functions under the Nodal Department of Home Science, St. Teresaâ??s College at present. The course is an undergraduate course based on higher education leading to B. Voc. degree, with multiple entry and exits as certificate/ Diploma/ Advanced Diploma/ Degree under the National Skill Qualification Framework. The aim of this programme is to equip the young graduates with adequate knowledge and skills for employment and entrepreneurship in the food industry.
Course curriculum is aimed at creating trained and skilled students well versed in technical aspects of food processing to cater the needs of the rapidly growing food processing sector. Fssai certified trainings for Food Safety Supervisor is given to the students. Faculty is qualified in various food sectors and strives to provide knowledge for better preservation, processing, and value addition to agro products.
It was good.In our syllabus we have an industrial visit but due to some reasons we didnt get an oppourtunity to visit the industry.so we dont know much about the industrial visit and the facultiy members attitude.
