The course consists of both theoretical and practical knowledge.It educates us about all the aspects of physics and it's very helpful in understanding real world applications from the practical classes.Also there are many python courses and assignments included which gives us a feel of programming that is very appreciated and overall all of these things influenced me to take part in this course from this college.

I took admission in bsc physics and they teach us about all the aspects of phyiscs including from classical mechanics to quantum mechanics.Also it prepares us for real life experiments as there are a lot of practicals available as well.

This college is one of the biggest and oldest college in the district and comes under Calcutta University which is one of the most prestigious university in the Country. So the standard of education is quite high here and ourr college has most passout percentage in the district also. Our alumni association is quite big and active and the college offers various STEM and non STEM subject which are not available in most other colleges. So choosing this college is a great choice if you are qualified and the seat is available.

When I passed higher secondary exam, then I want to go bsc honours degree and the mathematics department of narasinha dutt college inspires me to choose this subject. After that i think i have done the right choice to be in this College. Teachers teached us so that we can go higher level and crack any exam. If they want to improve then i should tell that sometimes teachers are absent and the timing of classes are not up to the mark. They should watch the timings of exam so that everyone can go through a strong education.

The course curriculum is very good as it follows the Calcutta University that it's under very thoroughly.And it has many practicals in our syllabus as well so it's very helpful in real life scenarios.

I chose this subject because I loved math from my childhood and then I wanted to know more about this subject and also I wanted to grow my skills. My college's stuffs were not helpful when I asked about something they said "we dont know ,go". So I faced many problems during my course. But my college teachers were very helpful. They helpd me a lot.I never forget them.

Since I was a student of science background, I chose B.Sc (General) though I had enough percentage (81.4%). Because I had no interest in taking honours. But you can go according to your interest as all according to me all the courses are well and good here. There were around more than 70 students in our batch. There were around 2-3 teachers for every subject. The respected teachers are really highly qualified and have very well experience in teaching. As there are many Bengali teachers here so you should have a little knowledge of Bengali just a little only for understanding. Overall all teachers very well. At that time, we had yearly examinations but now those are divided into semester examinations. The college also takes examinations which are good for students. If you are an average student and good at studying, you can pass the examination. The more effort will you give, the more your percentage will increase.

A student can be eligible for campus placement from 5th semester. Near about 30% students get the opportunity for placement. After completing my graduation I will continue master degree course and then PhD.

The percentage of students getting placements is not that good and that is why there are less number of students. Students pass in higher numbers and that is why there are a lot of students who are jobless. I am going to get masters degree from the same college after my bsc in maths.

There is no campus placement but every professor guides us to take further decision. I took the admission for masters and the department members supported me to take the decision and guide me why should I do masters.
