Motilal Nehru College Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I was a science student in class 12. I opt for wow honours for my graduation. I took admitted to Motilal Nehru College of the University of Delhi. The faculty of my college is awesome, in the phase of the pandemic they took our online classes and give their best. There are approx 60 students in my class. Also, our practices go smoothly during the pandemic and in physical classes also.

After the 5th semester, students can get placed according to their talent. Not so many companies visit our college for placements. Placements are average and you get an average package. The highest package is around 20lac and the average package is 6lac for our college. Not many students apply for placement because they want to pursue higher degrees further. I am also going to pursue MSc. In mathematics after graduation.

I choose BSc honors chemistry because I have a very keen interest in chemistry and I got attracted by it when I was in my 12th so I decided to pursue a career in chemistry. The faculty student ratio is good it is 1:6. All faculty members are Ph.D. holders who have wide knowledge about their subjects. Exams are conducted time to know about student progress exams are moderate and everyone Can pass with little hard work.

The students become eligible for placements in the third year but students of all the years are informed regularly about the internships by our placement cell which is really active. They offer good stipend which can be really helpful if you want to earn some money in your college life. Since majority of the students opt for masters after BSc, the placements are really less, even lesser in covid.

Motilal Nehru College is one of the best colleges under Delhi University. It offers so many courses with combination mode and honours mode. The admission is done on the basis of entrance test. The best cut off holders can enter the course. Remaining students can enter in the basis of cut off released after first cut off. Registration starts from August every year.

In my course physical science with chemistry, there is no campus placement. For college placement, you need to join a college placement cell. After this course, I am going to pursue my master's in Chemistry.

I have Chosen Physics Honors. And there were 85 students in my class. All the facilities & Faculties is Very Good. The teachers are very good & friendly. Every Year exam is held 2 times and it's very easy to pass the examination.

The college has an active Placement Cell. It organizes workshops, seminars and provides placement and internships in a wide range of profiles. Major placement opportunities are available to BCom students. Final semester students become eligible for campus placements. As per the stats of 2019-20, the highest package offered was 9 LPA and average package was 4.3 LPA. Major job profiles were finance, audit, sales, marketing, consultancy, HR operations etc. and 96+ companies were associated including KPMG, EY, PWC, Deloitte, Decathlon, UrbanClap, Genpact, Chegg, Wipro, FIS, Teach for India, Josh Talks, Inshorts, Careers 360 and many more. However the percentage of students getting placed is not much greater, because majority of students don't sit in campus placements and go for masters. Generally, BCom graduates are offered with better profiles in big companies (KPMG, EY, Deloitte etc) I am planning to go for MCA after my graduation .

The college has it's placement cell and many companies visit the campus also. One can apply for the same by writing an e-mail to the cell. Internships are provided as per the eligibility criteria. I know this only as I won't look for an internship after my graduation.

Highly qualified and experienced teachers are in this college for the stream. I won't say that all of them are equally helpful and kind to us but yes, Our physics lab staff is also good. faculty-student ratio (including all the professors and lab assistants) is 1:4 and it is appropriate.
