M.Sc. in Physics/Applied Physics/Mathematics/Material Science/Applied Optics/Optoelectronics/Electronics or equivalent, or B.Tech in Engineering Physics/Material Science/ECE or equivalent from CFTIs/Central Universities/IIST/IMSc with at least 8 CGPA on a 10-point scale; or M.Tech. in Solid State Technology/Materials Science/Mechanical Engineering/Optoelectronics/ECE or equivalent (these candidates must qualify in the written test conducted by the Institute).
M.Sc. in Physics/Applied Physics/Mathematics/Material Science/Applied Optics/Optoelectronics/Electronics or equivalent from other institutes with a valid GATE/NET/UGC/CSIR/NBHM score; or M.Tech. in Solid State Technology/Materials Science/Mechanical Engineering/Optoelectronics/ECE or equivalent with GATE/NET/UGC/CSIR/NBHM.
Reservations for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD are applicable as per Government of India norms.

Admission Process

Submit an online application at admissions.iiitdm.ac.in (no hard copy required; no application fee).

Shortlisted candidates are called for a written test and/or interview at IIITDM Kancheepuram campus.
