At the 1st the process where confusing but that's improved and by applying fastly i surely think that i will get admission i am so happy to have them that's why i am writing this.

This college has a wide history of producing great talents in cinema field like actor Mammootty Director amal neerad aashiq abu and many more artists
The academics in maharajas is one of the finest

Dislikes

The infrastructure is old as it was built 150 years ago
The placement cell needs to be improved as other colleges are providing better placements
The campus atmosphere should improve and encourage students

The course curriculum considers all the essential topics for the student as it teaches us the theory and gives us internship for real world experience the course can be improved by many more internships and real world experiences the exams are almost perfect as the end of the semester

My experience at maharajas college ernakulam

Likes

The aesthetic vintage experience we can experience
I got a lot more social exposure. Students from different culture
Was able to study in a college which is named as the Oxford university of india

Dislikes

No proper plastic disposure.there is containers to store plastic but is not disposed correctly
There is fulll of dust around. Because it is an old building
There are many vintage artifacts around the college but it is not protected correctly

Economic somehow teaches us how to manage in real world.. I can connect a lot more to real world while learning economics. It is a little too difficult to learn for sem exams. The sem exam is just in 50/70 marks.. The exam timing is 1 1/2 or 2 hrs.

My college my heaven

Academic excellence, college offers high quality education with great faculty.
Great campus, campus is surrounded by beautiful trees and it has great campus life
Strong emphasis on arts literature and cultural activities.

Dislikes

The classrooms need proper maintenance and labs need more equipments
Placements should be increased. Currently there are no placements.
Girls to boys ratio is 80 : 20. Very less amount of boys

The department of philosophy has a great faculty. The teachers are really experienced. The course curriculum is average. It doesn't have any real world applications. Compared to others the teaching method should also need improve. Exams are conducted every semester along with internal exams. Internal exams are out of 20 and semester exams are out of 80. The difficulty level is average.

Wel occupied classrooms and best infrastructure.the facilities are wel qualified and graduated in known universities like iit .This improves good teacher student approach for research aspiring students. Friendly approach of facilities makes comfort
A good open library is the most significant feature of this college .This helps more students in engaging studies and research .there are 3 floors of well arranged library with e library facility. This helps me to identify the books really easily
Best faculties helps me to share ideas about research

Dislikes

Insufficient bathrooms and restrooms for girls
Insufficient computer facilities are there
Less classes in some days because of programs

In first year there are about 6 subjects including languages .this helps to improve overall knowledge .the curriculum prepared on the basis of outcomes needed to acquire students in the core subject they choosed.

One of the standout features of Maharajas College, Ernakulam, is the quality of education and the exceptional faculty. My professors are not only experts in their fields but also approachable and supportive.
Campus life at Maharajas is always buzzing with activities and events. From cultural festivals to academic seminars, there’s always something exciting happening.
The library at Maharajas College is a haven for students like me. With its extensive collection of books across various subjects, it’s the perfect place to study or unwind with a good read.

Dislikes

One major concern is the waste management system, which often falls short of maintaining a clean and sustainable campus. Improved waste disposal and recycling options are necessary to enhance the overall cleanliness and environment.
While the college has a rich history, some facilities need upgrades. Certain classrooms and common areas could benefit from better maintenance and modern amenities to enhance the learning experience for students.
While student engagement in politics is important, sometimes it can feel overwhelming or even excessive. There are moments when political discussions and activities go beyond healthy debate, creating tension among students.

Placement Experience:

3rd year students are eligible for placements. Since our new syllabus is 4 year degree, we have an opportunity to work in any company in India. My plan after degree is to do post graduation and work at a publishing company

Library- My college have a large , attractive library with more than 5000 books.The Library of my college is the biggest Library in the colleges in kerala
Faculty- Our faculties are really friendly and supportive. More than a lecturer they stood with us as a mentor and friend. This will provide us a great relief

Dislikes

No placement - As my college is a government arts and science college..there is no opportunity for placements..
Politics - Sometimes the campus politics in my college exceeds its boundaries
Waste management - There is no enough facilities for Waste management

I am pursuing a degree in Bachelor of Arts in political science. The syllabus is wide and acceptable. It includes an introduction to political theory..political science, International relations, Public administration etc These are arranged well for the three years of our study and it will equip us with a broad and deep knowledge of political science. Exams are held for a gap of 4 months regularly.

Beautiful Campus. Environmental friendly. We have a great library which greatly helped in our academics
The Campus provide us many seminars and webinars which were really helpful in academics as well as our career.
We had the best faculties who were always ready to guide us in all time.

Needs Improvement in infrastructure facilities.

Our Curriculum included theories that were both old and contemporary. It also included the current scenario in our society. Apart from the curriculum, we had several seminars which boosted our knowledge in the subject. However, a slight upgrade is needed in the curriculum.
