Course Details
Maharaja's College provides Bachelor of Arts (BA) programme with twelve different specializations, while the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) is provided with seven different specializations. In addition, the college also offers Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) in Computer Applications.
The college accepts direct admission for UG courses. Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of marks obtained in qualifying exams i.e. percentage of marks received in Higher Secondary or any equivalent exam. Application process for the UG courses normally starts in the month of May every year.
Key Points to Note
- Candidates who has passed the Higher Secondary from WBCHSE or its equivalent Examination from any recognised board not before 2016 are eligible to apply for the UG course for batch
- For B.A in Music, Karnatic Music skills will be tested through an Aptitude test

Course Curriculum Overview:
I personally chose the course because I liked it. The faculty is pretty good. The professor provides great help to improve your skills and the library is also great. There is a separate department library and the college library is digital and has a great collection and is one of the most heritage libraries in Kerala. Teachers are well qualified. As it is an autonomous college exams and result publications are more accurate and on time than university exams. The exam can be passed if you put effort.

BA economics is a good course. Because economics is a very scope course because according to country economics important because money and wealth are always needed for human being economics is very helpful for my future and job opportunity to choose economics as my subject.

The proffesors are putting there maximum effort and consistency to make the syllabus clear and accurate. sunil kumar is the Head Of the Department and he is very much good in wat he done.

They update syllabus after every 4 years. They also provide industrial exposure. We were also allowed to our internship for 14days at KILA Thrissur. There is department library, College library, computer lab, seminar halls and so on.

Honestly is syllabus was very vast and it was too much theory oriented, if it would have been a bit more practical oriented, it would be good. The syllabus was updated and that is a good point. It's great to study.

The college have quite impressive online site and the syllabus and all major activities in college is uploaded in it. Many cultural and social activities and conducted in college it is over all a good campus to be in.

Fee Structure is feasible. I have completed my Degree of three years in less than 1lakh. The curriculum structure was really nice. You really have chance to research. But after all it all depends on your interest. For me it was chilling lab activities. I really liked the environment of college and lectures.

Feasible At the time of admission in general category it cost 6000 for arts subjects admission fee, tution fee and pta including GST. And 450 for examination fee per semester. But for science subjects cost 12000 at time of admission.
