All you need to know about Loreto College

Likes

The Faulty with their immense knowledge about the subject.
The campus is engaging and offer various workshops.

Dislikes

The class time table with no break where the number of classes are more.
The coercion to participate in seminars which are irrelevant and based on funding purposes.

Internships Opportunities:

Internships are few with companies like Wipro, Telegraph and HDFC Bank. The packages are also not much with low employment rate. You have to continue studying for higher level after graduation for better employment opportunities.

Loreto College: The Best Academia

Likes

I very much liked the highly supportive teachers who encourage you not only to study but also to be a responsible human being.
The college library is a dream academia Library. It is as big as a professional library and there is different sections for every subjects and sub topics.

Dislikes

There is no ac in the college, it's really tough for us to survive in summers
They only allow 1 week as a study leave. It's really difficult for us to study before exams because of that.

Internships Opportunities:

Loreto college of first a lot of internship opportunities linked with literature, sales marketing, creative writing, leadership qualities etc. last time I saw physics wala, internshala etc organisation internship in here. The encourage us to be a part of the internship sometimes they are also paid internships.

Loreto college is a great institution with a fabulous teaching staff. The staff focuses on instilling a sense of dedication in the students..Priority is given to studies and it is a pretty disciplined institution.
It is the only institution where conferences are held on a regular basis. These conferences are hosted by great personalities who motivate the students to make something out of their lives.

Dislikes

There are no taps in the washrooms. They should take strict action on this issue as it is about the hygiene of the students.
Every college has a canteen and the food provided in the canteen should be tasty as well as healthy. Our college canteen has only fried foods which shouldn't be the case. They should incorporate healthy fooding in the canteen .

Internships Opportunities:

Since I'm a first-year student I do not know much about the intership program. We are asked to do projects for every subject. The project topic is to be chosen from the syllabus and teachers are always there to help us if we come across any difficulties doing the project.

teaching faculty, the teaching faculty of the college is really good and helps the students alot
Groups and students unity, the bonding between the girls is really good.

Dislikes

college timing is not flexible alot. for winters the morning classes are hard to attend

The faculty is really great..The professors are cooperative..The discipline is on point

Dislikes

There is no social life.They are extremely strict..The matter of attendance is quite strange..Even if you are sick you have to attend college.

Internships Opportunities:

There is nothing called an internship opportunity in this college. They will provide you with courses and exams related to jobs. You have to complete those courses and clear the examination If you do so then you will get the job and the certificate, there is nothing called an internship in this college.

Best Women's College Under Calcutta University

Likes

The canteen food that is offered by the college.
The library is incredible providing all-round knowledge in all spheres.

Dislikes

The placements of our college is not up to the mark
The timings of the college should be considered.

Internships Opportunities:

The companies providing internships are TCS and Cognizant and both companies provide stipends to their interns. Our college provides certificates to attend workshops and webinars which definitely enhance our cv. Overall I feel the internships and placements will disappoint.

All About Loreto College

Placement Experience:

From third-year companies start coming to the campus for student selection. Companies like TCS, Cognizant, and Amazon visit for placements. The package usually depends on the job role and skill set of an individual. I opted out of counseling these companies because I would pursue sports management in the future.

Life at Loreto College,Kolkata

Internships Opportunities:

I worked as a Social Worker intern at The Missionaries Of Charity. There was no stipend available. We mainly had to select an organization wherein we had to work for a month and make a daily report at the end of the internship. It was a wonderful internship and I am grateful that Loreto College provided me with this opportunity.
