There are College Placements. A Placement Cell has been made . Companies like ICICI Bank, Wipro and TCS do come for placements but the number of employment is relatively less and the package is 8lakh per annum highest which is rare.

Best Women's College Under Calcutta University

Dislikes

The placements of our college is not up to the mark

The students are eligible for campus placements from the past semester that is from semester six. The number of companies visited is around 10 and the no of offered is near about 20 but there is a catch not all students are placed as it is completely based on merit and only a few can make it to the placement list. The highest-paid package would be 40,000 and the average would be 20,000. The percentage of students getting placements is a bit low. My plans will depend completely on the result of my last semester.

Placements every year on an average is 2- 4 LPA. Last year it was 6-7 LPA ( Lacs per annum. ). This year it's 7.6-8 LPA. Red Bull company had given some students of our college the opportunity to be promoters of their drink during our fest. They would distribute free drinks and the students promoting the drink would receive a considerable amount for this job.

Loreto College(Review)

The college had both counselling as well as placement cell. The counselling cell was to expose us with various career options and short term courses to groom us for interviews and group discussions. Further the placement cell was to provide us with good opportunities of jobs through on campus placements some of the companies that visited during my last year was Wipro, Price Water House Cooper, Tata Consultancy Services, Sage Publications and Chrysalis Consulting and many more companies made a visit. I got placed in Tata Consultancy Services with a satisfactory pacakge of annual INR 5 Lakh.

Internships Opportunities:

Loreto college of first a lot of internship opportunities linked with literature, sales marketing, creative writing, leadership qualities etc. last time I saw physics wala, internshala etc organisation internship in here. The encourage us to be a part of the internship sometimes they are also paid internships.

Since I'm a first-year student I do not know much about the intership program. We are asked to do projects for every subject. The project topic is to be chosen from the syllabus and teachers are always there to help us if we come across any difficulties doing the project.

There is nothing called an internship opportunity in this college. They will provide you with courses and exams related to jobs. You have to complete those courses and clear the examination If you do so then you will get the job and the certificate, there is nothing called an internship in this college.
