Loreto College offers admission to M.A (English) to the candidates with Honors Degree in English with 50% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized university. 60% of the total available seats will be filled on the basis of merit while 40% of seats will get filled through combined marks in university examination and admission test.

Loreto College Kolkata B.Ed Admission 2024
B.Ed. program is offered in affiliation with Calcutta University and is recognized by NCET. Candidates with 3 years' B.A degree or 2 years M.A degree are eligible to apply for the B.Ed program. This program is offered in three subjects along with any one Indian or another language. The upper age limit is 40 years as on the month of June of the year of application.

I chose Loreto College, because I have done my schooling from a convent, so the college was immensely disciplined, there were no small talks, no wastage of time, the professors are highly qualified, the college chooses the students based on their merit and eligibility, does not support any kind of under the table procedures. Admission process was very smooth, they had also given 7 days time to pay registration fees, as I had already taken admission in Shri Shikshayatan and wanted to take an admission in Loreto College, as the fees in Shikshyatan was quite high and the behaviour was very impolite, and during the admission process, it asked the senior students to manage the students, and they not only manipulated students related to subject choice, but also was only interested in collecting Demand draft, and was immensely harsh with parents and students.

The reason I chose this college was for it's credibility and its name and logo.

I choose this college because I really like the motto of it which is about women empowerment. Itself women's College but it's not like other women's colleges ,there is no place for misogyny here. The teachers are really supportive. I felts like I belong to this college that's why I choose this college over others. The admission process is really easy you have to fill up the form online for this college after your higher secondary examination. If you are in their criteria then they will choose you based on your marks and they will call you for admission. Then you have to go there in the office they will do all source of admission curriculum. Then the sister will talk with you about the college she will express how she feels that you are in their college. It's like a warm welcome. I applied for other colleges like Scottish Church College, bethune college, Lady B College, presidency University, and many more and I got into Scottish Church and others but I choose this one as it's the best.

To qualify for English,a person has to achieve a minimum of 90% in English and a total of 95% in higher secondary examination. Cut-off for our college never remains the same,it changes every year. The eligibility is that u must have pass class 12 with a decent percent so that u can make in the cutoff list of the college. One can find the application form from the website of loreto college, have to pay 400 rupees for the application by submitting all the documents they will ask and then wait till u find your name and registration no. Into the list they release . They will mail u come for Kyc(konw your college) where u choose your subjects for rest of the years under the guidance of the proffessors .My college is a Christian minority college so they reserve seats for christian girls.The admission process and payment of fees is absolutely online , and there is no complain as such in the admission process.

So the admission process is entirely based on merit of the individual no entrance exam or as such as taken over here. you've to patiently wait for the lists to come and regularly check it without fail. there are reservation benefits even for the Catholics, the minors and OBCs. the entire college environment is diversed yet the unity among the students is present there. after your name is on the list, you will be asked to come to the college for KYC (know your college) with your parents. there the Principal of the college will individually talk to you, encourage you and the department head will meet you. The whole process is so motivating, the teachers are so friendly. You will get all the details about college admission and all on there office website of Loreto. The admission process is really smooth, no stress is needed be patient and go for it.

Loreto College is an all-female institution located in Middleton Row, KolkataThe Psychology Department of Loreto College is considered one of the most competitive in Kolkata, with a cut-off of not less than an aggregate of 96-97% (subject to slight changes yearly). There was no entrance exam but the admission was based on 12th Boards marks. Overall it was smooth. There is no hostel facility for the students other than Catholic people. The minority students get high privileges. They can get admission with 60% .
