The Overall Experience at SJMSOM

Likes

As SJMSOM is a part of IIT Bombay, so all the students got all facilities at IITB like cultural fest, sports activities.
They have very well educated and well experienced Faculty.
The faculty of SJMSOM are very supportive.

Dislikes

The buildings of SJMSOM are still under construction.
There in no any fixed date for Exam, they release tentative dates.
The fees of SJMSOM is too much a middle class family can not afford.

Admission:

I applied to several top MBA programs across India. I was fortunate to receive acceptance letters from SJMSOM and K J Somaiya Institute of management. ultimately, I choose SJMSOM because of its strong alumni network in consulting, te renowned faculty in finance.

My admission process was pretty smooth the course requires 98%ile in CAT for open category students. The CAT form can be filled out at https://iimcat.ac.in. The admission process link for the SJMSOM MBA program can be found on the official website. The admission is perfect.

For MBA from SJMSOM, I applied for the CAT exam first. It was for the year 2021 and scored well to get a call from the institute. After getting the call, there was an online interview selection process and post that final selection list was released.

Admission:

The complete admission process was seamless for SJMSOM as compared to other institutes. It starts with appearing for the CAT examination in which we need to score 90 percentile overall and 75 percentile in sectionals to be eligible in the open category ( www.som.iitb.ac.in ). The application forms opened around the first week of January and we applied from the admissions page of SJMSOM for the same. The shortlists were released around mid-February and the interviews were held in the first week of march through an AI-based interactive platform named Gather. We were also allotted PI Buddies who aided us throughout the process.

Admission:

The course is only eligible for people with a 4-year degree. The application forms could be tracked on the website and telegram groups and the date for application was the 31st of January. The application fee was 1600rs and no reservation benefits were availed by me. The admission process was seamless and on time, and the dates were followed religiously. One recommendation I would have is that they should provide confirmation after acceptance of the offer letter for those who need to withdraw from other colleges.

4 years of education post-12th standard is the eligibility. Points are given for results scored in 10th, 12th, and graduation. All the details are available on the SJMSOM website. The admissions process is very efficient and they try to make it stress-free by playing cartoons.

Admission for SJMSOM is taken through CAT. The cut-off for the general category is 90 percentile. We can expect to get calls from SJMSOM around the 92-99 percentile range.
