Guwahati College Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I love physics that's why I find myself comfortable with this course. The number of faculty in the college is low. Only 3 professors are available. and there exists more than 40 students in the department. The teaching methods are good. But there isn't available sufficient amount of practical apparatus. The examination process is good and steady.

I chose this course as I was interested in the subject of Physics and it was the nearest college to my home and during that time, less attendance didn't cause much of an issue. I can't say about the same thing now. Estimated faculty:student ratio (per batch) = 3:20. Currently, there are two professors with a Master's in Solid State and Nuclear (expt.) respectively. And another newly inducted professor has a PhD in Material Sciences. During my time, the teaching quality was decent. The semester exams usually occur every 6 months. And the mid-term of each semester happens right in between 2-3 months from the beginning of the semester.

There is some placement programs conducted by many organizations. Many conference are conducted for Students higher education in research activities to promote the students in the research field.

Professors are well trained but less number faculty is present. The laboratory is well equipped but some departments are not well equipped. The college has a large playground and a parking space. The classrooms are large and spacious.
