About my college

Likes

I like the atmosphere of the college as there is no pollutions
I like the faculties behaviour which is very friendly towards students
No pressure of studies and no pressure of maintaining 100 percent attendance as only 75 percent needed

Dislikes

Located inner to bus stand which makes to walk
Watchmans are preferrably very rude towards all
Not updated labs for todays need of the students

Admission:

Actually in southern region,i consider tce is one of the best colleges,Also madurai is my native and i preffered to complete ug here in a reputed institution and tce was only one of them in our region.

College with good environment, teaching and placements

First thing is that most of the facultys here are phd completed, so they provide good teaching with real time example , another thing is that you don't have spoon feeding and force to write tests daily, you have to take care your studies.
Over-all the college Environment is very good with greenish and calm mood. All the facilities are available on campus like bank, xerox, stationery, post office, food court, dispensary, library, wifi facility around campus. Also food is good in hostel
Extra curricular and co curricular activities are maintained simultaneously like Ncc, nss, yrc and music, dance, photo, drama clubs etc... also all sports are available with ground and indoor stadium.

Dislikes

Only there is some cultural activities are performed.
Only veg is available in the college and hostel.
No pongal , dipavali or any function celebration.

I have applied for firstly SSN and write exam but i not able to get it. I get here through TNEA, it is a counselling condued by State government for engineering students. The process is based on physics , chemistry and biology marks they give rank and you get seat according to that, i get a college and course on my preference. It is a good college in teaching and placements compared to other colleges.

The things that I first like about this college is the infrastructure of the building
The staffs here are well trained and teach with perfection
The atmosphere with the seniors in this college will be one to experience

Dislikes

The gates here in the college are closed during college hours
The cultural events are not conducted here which is a disappointment
There is less exposure around this college as it is located in the outer of madurai

I have chosen this college as this is one of the top engineering colleges in tamil Nadu and it has a good percentage of placements and this college has a very good opinion from those who have studied here in the past and it is also near to my hometown hence I have chosen this college

There are about 1000 trees in the campus and it is refreshing
The social interaction in the campus is best,everyone has the strive to improve
There are placement classes,programming classes ,communication classes for placement

Dislikes

Madurai city is hot, so the temperature is little high
There is only one food court that doesn’t provide many varieties
There aren’t many culturals so its a drawback

I choose this college because of the reputation I applied for PSG tech,CIT , TCE ,SKCT,KCT I got confirmed in TCE ,SKCT,KCT i choose this because it is a aided college,and it has reputation for Vbabout 70 years I didn't have the cut off eligibility for CIT and PSG there are two ways to join our college One is through merit based management They conduct a counselling among the applied and seat is allotted to the highest cut off holders among the attended Two is government counselling You need apply for the counselling and if you are elig You will alloted For state board you need above 188 cuttoff for management seat And above 192 for self supported seat Above 196 for aided seat

I like the facilities available in our college. In our dept we have around 7 Labs for our practical sessions equipped with latest systems.
The faculty teaching us are well trained and very supportive.
Our campus is eco friendly and attractive in nature.

Dislikes

I personally doesnt like the timings of my college.
We dont have any great culturals in our college.
The exams are boring and time constrained.

Admission:

I personally love my college because of its reoputation and personal rankings. It also provides wonderful placements oppurtunities for the students pursuing their degree in well reputed comapany. We aslo have naac acreditation for our college.

The way of teaching for students is excellent
The professors give their knowledge to their all the time when students needs it
Our college gives enough freedom to explore things on our own

Dislikes

Infrastructure is the main thing that i disliked because they are very old buildings
Then there are many monkeys roaming around that also i don't like

Admission:

When it comes to the admission process the base eligibility is like you need to pass the HSC exams with 60% in maths, physics and chemistry. then the admission process is through counselling. so to get through this college you need to score above 185 cutoff and for the software courses you need to have above 193 cutoff. For other reservation Categories, the cutoff will decrease. The main hectic of the admission process is they only accept DD for payment of fees so this is an inconvenience for everyone that they need to improve

Likes

The college atmosphere makes you participate in extracurricular activities than simply sitting and mugging up the books before exams. If your are more interested in extracurricular activity then tce is the one you are seeking.
The college has it's own playground but most of them is occupied by cricket and the football teams. You can bust your stress by going on a run.
Also it has its own indoor stadium with gym facilities, 4 badminton court, judo, chess and much more. The college has its own wifi in and around the campus to compensate the network shortage.

Dislikes

cons of studying here as a hosteler is that during summer season you will be exposed to heat waves
network connectivity is a big issue here especially if you are using jio or other networks then i would prefer you to switch to airtel.

Admission:

The admission through anna university counselling took place online. Whereas the management quota admission took place offline in our college's auditorium. You can approach the college by contacting them by phone. The part of the admission process that i hated was doing so much paperwork and getting the affidavit stamp from a lawyer and so on. It would have been better if they had made the process much simpler. just search for the admission tab. Verification could have been done online .

I applied for Thiagarajar College of Engineering through counseling which takes place in Karaikudi. There was no entrance exams for joining this college. Since I secured more than 93% in Diploma I have got merit seat. So my fees structure has low price compared to others. There are no difficulties during the admission process.

"A Golden era of my college life"

College, hostel environment was great to study into. Faculties are so friendly enough to travel with us throughout my entire educational career. Placement opportunites are enormous to explore and to be selected in.
Course structure as well are well-designed based on the international books writted by foreign authors.
In lab also, you will be trained with best examples by well-trained professors. Sports are one of the best things that this college provides students to improve their physique, seniors attachment, stress relieving.

Dislikes

To be frank, this college never disappointed me in any ways. This was my great opportunity to study in this well-reputed college.

Admission:

Since I scored 98 % in the 12th public exam, I was eligible for OBC govt quota reserved seats. So we need to pay 5000 as a reservation fee during counseling conducted by the Tamilnadu government. If we avail of the reserved seats, the educational course fee will be reduced based on our reserved quota (for me, OBC). Only we would have to spend more money on college hostel facilities if you are going to avail the hostel facilities.
