For B.Tech, candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects with minimum of 50% marks (45% marks for Backward class and PWD candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together.
For B.Tech (Lateral), candidates must have passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks for Backward class and PWD candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only),
Alternatively for B.Tech (Lateral), candidates with B.Sc. from a recognised university as defined by UGC and obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks for Backward class and PWD candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) and passed 10+2 with Mathematics as a subject, are also eligible.
Students appearing for 10+2 or Engineering Diploma are also eligible.
Maharashtra State candidates must have to appear for MHTCET.
All India candidates need to appear for MHTCET/JEE Mains. However, JEE Mains will be preferred over MHTCET.

Selection Criteria

Admission is through counseling conducted by DTE Maharashtra based on marks obtained in Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHCET) or rank obtained in JEE-Mains.
For international students admission is through counseling conducted by DTE Maharashtra based on marks obtained in mandatory subjects in 10+2.
The admission for first-year engineering degree courses is done through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP).
To become eligible for CAP the candidates need to register their application online. They can visit the website of the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra and fill-up the form.
Candidates have to report to the Application Form Receipt Centre (ARC) for document verification.
Candidates will be shortlisted for CAP rounds based on their score in the entrance exam and preferences given by them for courses and colleges. Below is the list of cut off for different specializations

Sardar Patel College of Engineering has a very reasonable hike in their price, considering the cost-effectiveness we can supposedly conclude that it stands subjective to student to student in this matter. Also Maharashtra DBT portal allows students to avail of scholarships that cover approximately 50 % of the whole fees.
