My Awesome experience in RGIT

Likes

I like my faculty of my college, Teacher are so helpful and understanding
Rules and regulations are followed strictly, like No raging, Discipline,etc.
Also, college provide a vast library for study and free wifi connection

Dislikes

Very few events are held, like rarely 1 or 2 in a month
Infrastructure is not so very good, but decent
Many communities are formed in college like CESS, CODE CELL, DMX but not very active

Admission:

1) I had also applied for other colleges like Thakur college and Somaiya college and I got addmission in thakur but didn't take admission as I was getting Information technology branch as a cource. As a result I took admission here according to merit list. 2) I didn't get rejected from other colleges, I choose to withdraw the admission as I wasn't getting course that I wanted. 3) Students can take admission in Rajiv Gandhi institute of technology Andheri by many different ways like merit cut-off of MHT-CET, JEE, Through Management,etc. and the process is very simple, As students have to submit their documents like 10th-12th marks sheet, adhar card, ration card, bank passbook, Merit Documents, and others depending upon the caste and situations.

Why i chose here...

Likes

The overall crowd of students is good in college, studios and competitive ones.
Teachers are good too... some teachers are highly professional
The external support of organisations and sponsors are good

Dislikes

The infrastructure is not as per the mark of an elite engineering college
Study is based on labor work and less on practical terms
The overall college name in campus within the students is not as per the m

Admission:

Well i got my name for RGIT list in the first cap round itself but i wanted a better college like spit so i tuned rgit as plan b. I didnt get rejected from spit its that i never applied for other options like mechanical in spit. I chose cs in rgit. The minimum cgpa for comps dept is above 85 i guess and i had 94.83 and there were many bad cases about admission with students.

Life at RGIT

Likes

faculty is supportive and experienced here
Provides a outrage for various commities and clubs
Attendance is not a major issue of 75 percent

Dislikes

Infrastructure is a huge setback as it is not that great
Canteen and food facility is below average
No proper management and security is provided

The cutoffs here are pretty decent EWS, TFWS seats are aloted No better college can be selected under low percentiles in MH-CET and JEE Admission can be also done through management quota There are several branches of engineering offered in RGIT

The teaching staff of the college is good
The college has good placements and is affiliated to Mumbai University
The college offers internship to the students

The college has small campus due to located in the city
The classrooms of college are not well developed

I have applied to others colleges like Bhagubhai and thakur college of engineering. But due to my low percentage in MH CET I was alloted this college.The admission process of this college is very simple and easy

the infrastructure is quite decent for a clg
the faculty is good as humans(quite understanding) and also good teachers

Dislikes

no clubs or fests for 1st year students we didnt even get freshers party
the clubs that exist are run by seniors and dont have proper functioning its very bias
there is no campus or anything you can do in the college

Admission:

I got admission here through spot round i got a seat in vartak cs branch thru mh cet but it was a ews seat which was cancelled due to delay in ews submission because of an error from my side. keeping past aside i would say rgit is a decent clg but try for cs or it if possible and in case you want to get thrpugh spot round come asap and for management quota u should come before cap round 1 otherwise they charge u like crazy before spot round cs seat was for 6 lakhs after spot round it was available for 12 lakhs

RGIT - blend of academic and practical exposure

Likes

I opted this college due to its cricket team .
Also it has the best curriculum for ai .
Highly qualified faculty teaches us and makes the concepts easy.

Dislikes

Sometimes the crowd which takes admission is not decent.
Infrastructure can be looked after as there are many areas of improvement

Admission:

This college is near my residence thus it eliminated the travelling issue also as I'm a sports enthusiast I opted this college over others. I didn't get admission in some top colleges due to the cutoff. Eligibility based on JEE Main or MHT-CET scores for engineering courses. Document verification and seat allotment through counselling. Confirming admission by paying fees and submitting required documents.

My Experince about MCT Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology Verosva

Likes

All festivals are celebrated like for that time frame college is chill.
Sports is given an Importance like we have Gym and college actively participates in Sports Events
Teachers are Good with Experience and Few New Young Teachers are Caring for Students

Dislikes

Campus is Small of 5 acres so it's a small campus
canteen you have limited 4 items Samosa, Vadapav, Cutlet, Springroll too oily n bad quality
Submissions are too hectic and Admin Office/ Exam Cell are too annoying

Admission:

So i was getting B.Tech Chemical Engineering in NIT Srinagar but just beacuse of my boards marks i was not able to take admission in NIT plus my family said in kashmir instability and the I was getting a seat in SPIT Mumbai but just missed it by 0.43%tile so then I take admission in Rajiv Gandhi Institute fo Technology beacuse it is close to my Home like 10 - 15 minutes on Bike so If i have any Emergency I have assuarance I Will be at my House within 15 Minutes this is main concern as my friends took admission in COlleges of Vashi Panvel Vasai Virar Regretting it.For Admission you need Aggr 50% in boards P C M/Electronics in my case and you can get admission via MHT-CET band Yeas through JEE too but All India Quota is very less seats.Overall admission exprience was smooth and I Got my admission in around 3rd Round of MHT-CET

An Overall Glimpse Of RGIT, Mumbai

Likes

Good Environment, Helping Seniors, A nice exploration of all the curricular activities
A decent girls over boys ratio like 1 girl in 3 boys, just you can imagine like that.
Great Faculties and supporting staff were also there overall a great environment

Dislikes

Students Council is not that good, Means if you have any problem regarding the fest

Admission:

A good college with great connectivity from andheri railway station, versova metro station & D.N. Nagar metro station. A great connectivity of bus and autorickshaw also. Not a big campus but a great and pourshed environment of versova, a great connectivity of versova and juhu beach near the college

I applied to about seven colleges during the admission process of my degree, but the first college that I was accepted in was Rajiv Gandhi Institute of technology I was not rejected from any colleges just the first college. I got was this one, and I decided to go ahead with it as it seemed a good deal and because it was close to my home. the admission process was quite easy, and the eligibility criteria was also quite low, considering the location of college in prime Mumbai suburb
