Nitte meenakshi institute of technology by the lens of a 3rd year student

Likes

The cultural fest in my college is good . Professional artists like darshan rawal, sachet parampara and divya kumar have come in the fest
The vibe of the college is good , the campus is very peaceful
Hostel is also decent. The entry time is 10 pm which is a good thing

Dislikes

The attendance policy is not good ,it is 85% which is too exhausting
There are a lot of unnecessary subjects also like yoga and ews which takes a lot of precious time
The outpass system is messed up . For girls getting out of college is a big hectic

I chose this college because of my Comedk rank that was around 8k and in my year the cutoff was also high ,so this was the best possible college for me . I also got selection from kalinga institute of technology but it was too expensive

Likes

Campus is actually nice to hangout, not prison vibe. The maggi station is the best place in campus
Some professors are super chill and friendly and they teach properly which I can easily understand and comprehend.
Some faculties actually teach, not just read slides

Dislikes

Lab sessions are mid, more confusion than learning
Few facilities rely too much on slides and does not make the subject interesting
They won’t allow day scholars to enter the campus in evening time to hangout with hostel friends

I tried top colleges like RV and PES but my rank wasn't good enough. I was interested in aeroplanes and its dynamics so I took admission in NMIT because Aero faculty is good. My rank in kcet-2024 was 22893 so I easily got admission through kcet in 2024

Placements for my branch that is Information Science and Engineering is quite good when compared to other branches.
The events happenning in our colleges and the main event happend once in a year that is 'Anadyanta'.
The frinds we make having lots of fun in the campus.

Dislikes

Attendence criteria as in other colleges.
No coding environment in the institution
Far away from the city which is a bad thing.

Likes

The infrastructure is very eye catching.
The faculties are mostly friendly and understanding.
the facilities in college is amazing and useful.

Dislikes

Some few faculties are not very approachable.
The college has turned into a university now.
No more KCET entrances and only through NUCAT

Admission:

I chose this college for its balance fee structure good faculty and decent placement opportunitires. I applied to other colleges but preferred this one due to location and affordability. The admission process includes eligibility criteria, entrance exams and cutoff scores makiing it fair and transparent.

Likes

Faculty - The teachers are well knowledged and well qualified.
Labs were well conducted and are equipped with all the gadgets and equipments.

Dislikes

No internship opportunities from the college side and we have to find one from our own.
3 MSEs compulsory whereas other colleges have 1/2 compulsory only.

I chose this college over others because this is autonomous college. The admission process was giving an exam and attending the counselling from the exam rank. Branch and college will be alloted as per the ranks. Admission process is smooth and clear communication is provided at each step. Different counselling rounds are conducted to filter down your choices and explore more opportunities.

A little insider information of my college

Likes

Peaceful college campus well maintained college with good staff.
Social life is really enjoyable in this college with peers. Lots of clubs and hackathons.
Placements offered here are outstanding. Top companies come to our college.

Dislikes

Classes are not maintained properly in this college
Labs have old systems and they need to be replaced.
They announce exam timetables very late.

I chose this college mainly as it is a deemed to be university and one of the top colleges in Bangalore. It's a autonomous college. There is a great advantage over other VTU colleges. I didn't get rejections from other colleges as I set my priority to join this college or any other college of the same kind. One must score a very good ranking in KCET or COMED-K to join this college. Management seat is also available but it's very expensive.

The admission process went quite smooth. I got Christ and ramiah peenya but i personally i wanted nitte cause it is affiliated to vtu and its 98 percent in placements and with very high packages and with a good staff.

I was written karnataka cet examination for joining engeneering college my rank was low by. Nmit my rank should be around 40000 to 55000 for 'ECE' i scored 53000 I got a seat but my list was top 10 college Nmit was in no 8 My college addmission by comdk cket management
