Nitte meenakshi institute of technology by the lens of a 3rd year student

Likes

The cultural fest in my college is good . Professional artists like darshan rawal, sachet parampara and divya kumar have come in the fest
The vibe of the college is good , the campus is very peaceful
Hostel is also decent. The entry time is 10 pm which is a good thing

Dislikes

The attendance policy is not good ,it is 85% which is too exhausting
There are a lot of unnecessary subjects also like yoga and ews which takes a lot of precious time
The outpass system is messed up . For girls getting out of college is a big hectic

Internship opportunities are not so much in my college. Only few companies like ofss by oracle came and took 2 students as shortlisted and 1 as waitlist. The stipend they offered was 60000 rupees per month for 2 months

Likes

Campus is actually nice to hangout, not prison vibe. The maggi station is the best place in campus
Some professors are super chill and friendly and they teach properly which I can easily understand and comprehend.
Some faculties actually teach, not just read slides

Dislikes

Lab sessions are mid, more confusion than learning
Few facilities rely too much on slides and does not make the subject interesting
They won’t allow day scholars to enter the campus in evening time to hangout with hostel friends

DRDO/NAL might give internships to the students. Since I am still in first year, we do not have much information or access to internships right now. I believe some of the internships aren't handed to us, we have to chase them down

Likes

Placements for my branch that is Information Science and Engineering is quite good when compared to other branches.
The events happenning in our colleges and the main event happend once in a year that is 'Anadyanta'.
The frinds we make having lots of fun in the campus.

Dislikes

Attendence criteria as in other colleges.
No coding environment in the institution
Far away from the city which is a bad thing.

Interships are available from the college which happens during 6th or 7th sem (On campus interships). Also you can avail off campus interships if you are interested. Those are also suggested by the college sometimes but it is for the students who are interested.

The infrastructure is very eye catching.
The faculties are mostly friendly and understanding.
the facilities in college is amazing and useful.

Dislikes

Some few faculties are not very approachable.
The college has turned into a university now.
No more KCET entrances and only through NUCAT

The college provides internship opportunities. Stipends vary, with some being un[paid. Projects include various attributes, helping studfent gain hands on experience and industry exposure from time to time as well.

NMIT - A complete review

Likes

Faculty - The teachers are well knowledged and well qualified.
Labs were well conducted and are equipped with all the gadgets and equipments.

Dislikes

No internship opportunities from the college side and we have to find one from our own.
3 MSEs compulsory whereas other colleges have 1/2 compulsory only.

Placement Experience:

Placement season starts from 6th sem end and 7th sem start. 70-80 companies visit the campus with packages ranging from 4 LPA to 40 LPA. Placement ratio is good for CSE, ISE and ECE (90-95%). If the students plan for higher studies, the college do provide some basic assistance but, not very much. For placements, college also provide trainings but are charged extra 5-6k one time which is compulsory.

About bus transportation less bus shortage of seats sometime
Books should be buy (record) in college campus only
Hig cost of foods in bakery inside college campus

Internships Opportunities:

By 7th sem internship is mandatory for all students on campus and the main project also by th mentor this include in cgpa also the Adobe amazon ,t&p, one direct, subex, Phillips, by the end of 8th semester internship and project should be completed to get placed

Likes

The college provides 90% placement every year. Many companies visit college every year with high packages.
The college comes under top 10 colleges in Banglore
The college have large space for all the other activities and it includes many playgrounds, Temple, Park, and many more.

Dislikes

The college is in the outskirts of the city and transportation is difficult for the students.
The cost of the college bus is very high as compare to any other transportation.
Some faculties in the college are not student friendly.

And also about travelling purpose some issues are there
And also gov BMTC bus not go to nmit college so bustop 3km away

I would like to tell about internaships opportunities comes in our college first of all many internships are comming like from Oracle and bluestar and also some are only for girls or boys or both. And best opportunities are coming.
