Should I pursue ECE from MSIT or CS from BPIT?

Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology (MSIT) and Bhagwan Parshuram Institute of Technology (BPIT) both are private engineering colleges in New Delhi affiliated to the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU). There is not much of a difference between them in terms of the syllabus of the branches. Here are some of the things that you should know about the two courses. Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE): The prerequisite for doing well in this branch is a strong grasp of mathematics. Most of the subjects in this branch are logic-based and if your mathematics is good, then you can easily score and get some good grades. As for placements, core companies almost do not visit any of the two colleges (hardly 1 or 2). However, jobs in the service-based sector are plentiful and you can easily get them on the campus of MSIT with almost no knowledge of ECE. Computer Science and Engineering (CSE): There is no prerequisite for doing well in CSE at BPIT and you can easily score good grades. Should I go for CS in MSIT or ECE from MAIT?

First of all, both the branches differ a lot from each other. Thus, you need to understand which branch you are inclined to. Also, keep in mind that you can change your field from ECE to CSE but not vice versa. So, choosing CSE can get you an advantage in many ways. My friend is currently studying CSE in MSIT and here’s what his experience says. Dedicated faculty: Most teachers are well experienced and really enjoy what they teach you. If you have even smallest of the doubts, do not hesitate as they will assist you whenever you need them. Especially in the CSE department, teachers are really cooperative. Infrastructure: If you visit both MSIT and MAIT, you will find that MAIT has a tad bit better infrastructure. Location: MSIT definitely has a location advantage as you can find various hangout spots around the institute and even the nearest metro of Janakpuri East is just 5 minutes away. On the other hand, MAIT lacks proximity to metro and hangout spots. Placements: While both the colleges have great placements, the CSE branch will get you better packages and increased opportunities, like any other college In India. According to the recent placement data the highest and average CTC offered at MSIT is 47 LPA and 3.6 LPA. For MAIT the average and highest CTC is 3 LPA and 28 LPA. All in all, both MAIT and MSIT are reputed private colleges of Delhi. The biggest thing that makes the difference here is the branch you choose. No doubt CSE has an upper hand over ECE as mentioned above.

Which book is preferred by IPU Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology for ECE in the first year?

One of my cousins studied at Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology (MSIT) and he never bought a single book for any branch. You will get free access to all the books from the book bank. You will also get personal textbooks each semester as soon as you get your college IDs. There is an online portal available that helps in getting ideas about the books available in the book bank. You will be required to pay for the book bank that has already been added to the college fee in the first year. There is a book store outside of MSIT where students can buy books of Bhavya Publications which are easy to read and understand and written in simple language. It helps in scoring good marks in IPU.

I have paid 175000 in my first year in which 10000 is a security amount deposit it will be refunded as soon as my degree gets completed my other batchmates have also paid the same amount of fees except ones who are jammu kashmir migrants they have a relaxation in fees

Need to be more precise on real world problem solving then just only bookish problems
More time spent on theory not practicals in academics

It will be increasing yearly as now the college has grown in terms of placement and acadmeics more good companies are reaching out to the college for the PPO and also other internships . Various exams will be conducted like live interviews and tests based on the company requirements

Good faculty but bad facilities

The fees for the first year is ?1,65,000 which includes security fee(refundable) and alumini funds. For the further years, the fee is ?1,53,000. This is the fee structure without any scholarship or reservation. There are not many scholarship programs but there are fee deductions for some categories like Sc/St, kashmir immigrants, ews etc.

Short and informative.

I paid my 1st year which was rs 175000/ which included all kind of charges like exam, lab, registration . And it may increase by some amount every year. There is no difference in fees of the students on the basis of their categories. My college come under Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) which every year brings a scholarship under EWS scheme under which they provide financial aid to students. But one thing I can mention here is that the professors are actually very cooperative and it's a decent college.

Maharaja surajmal institute of technology, advantages and disadvantages why you should prefer this college

The fee structure is a bit complex as in first year you will have to give around 164000 at a time for 2 semester and then 150000 per year for rest of the duration, college also provide some scholarship which includes 0 fee for sc st Student and for ews and obc candidate it provides scholarship through ONGC scholarship which covers almost 50% of the total tution fee ,there is also a merit cum scholarship which will give around 80-90k ,you will have to maintain 8 cgpa

MSIT : gateway to a good future

The total fees paid for my batch is Rs. 1,33,000 which includes the tuition fees , infrastructural cost and the examination fees. There are also financial assistance schemes for academically proficient, economically weaker students.

Enjoyable campus with good environment

Fee of the curriculum is around 5.38 lacs with 5000 security fee which is given back to the students when they pass out from college. There are also different fee waivers given to the needful students. The college also provides different societies, joining whom can be a lot of fun and learning.

My college Review

Tution fee in every year was different. So. my course was for 4 years and initally it was under 1lac but from the second year it was around 1.10 lac varying every year. My complete eduavtion post was around 4.5 lac which included everything and as i didn't take hostel so hostel and mess fee was not included in that. Not sure of any scholarships or financial aids. Placement in my college was great and they provided 100% placements to everyone. I got place in cognizant. Average packatge was 3lpa - 4lpa
