Likes

The faculty members are also good enough regular classes are held here.
Students having financial conditions can avail various scholarship, most beneficial is the ishan uday which students can get.
The people of assam are very friendly, which creates a pleasing environment for students

Dislikes

The canteen food is totally bad and not good at all
Practical knowledge and workshop is lagging behind no such practical field takes place and as of engineering no tech fest takes place
There is no such personality development and no other things

The campus infrastructure a little bit is old.

Placement Experience:

Campus Placements are nor too bad in our college. Every year a lots of students are being placed in various companies. Some students are also being placed directly in Govt. Jobs like OIL India Ltd. and some refineries. And for those who are not placed, they go for further studies and some prepare for Govt. jobs Offcampus.

A breif summary into JEC

Likes

The teaching environment isvery friendly.
The events organised by the college are quite lively.
Time management becomes easy due to a good scheduled routine.

Dislikes

The campus is a bit small, could have been bigger.
Some classes get very boring to attend, either due to the teachers or due to the subjects.
Hate the assignments and all of the journals that need to be submitted.

Placement Experience:

Placements have been a major role in this college. While sometimes placements may get weak but other times these opportunities get really well. Major companies come to pick up job offers during the on campus interviews with the average package being from around 3-5 lakhs per annum.

An Honest Review Of Jorhat Engineering College.

Likes

The people of Assam are very friendly, which creates a pleasing environment for students
The students are always motivated to do something great with their lives
The faculty of this college is always ready to help you

Dislikes

The hygiene of some places of the college is not up to the marks
Sometimes, there is poor assistance from the administration
Teachers are very strict with attendance, which makes it difficult for students to explore something else

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent here as mentioned earlier. Students can expect a decent salary and ease-to-live life, given that they are not shifted to some expensive places, like bangalore. The highest package offered is around 20 LPA On-Campus and 50 LPA Off-Campus. The median Package is good and lies between 5-6 LPA

Jec overall review of the campus facilities

Likes

The college library is good and also the second largest library is going to be build here itself.
The college campus is neat and clean also there are enough hostels present here.
The faculty members are also good enough regular classes are held here.

Dislikes

The college campus shoul have extra facilities like specially for sports which is very important they should build some sports places like basketball courts, badminton court's also many are interested in swimming so they should improve in this place
The placement should increase i this the package of current hiring is not enough for the students i think there should be more higher level companies available for applying
There should be some extra events like singing, dancing and all as because this are alzo important some entertainment is also important in engineering life to overcome the pain in life so i think along with studies there should me more such events

There is campus Placement in this college many companies hire students here. There is a TPC present here where they take the interview and many companies take their own exam for qualifications. Many of the students get a job by applying themselves and many go for higher studies.

Insights into Jorhat engineering college

Likes

Campus is beautiful with a large lake. Huge Campus
Laboratories are sophisticated. Equal emphasis on theory and practical
Affordable. Gives a proper college life.

Dislikes

My own homesickness as it is 300 kms away from Guwahati.
Too much rigid when it comes to assignments, sessional exams etc
Not much placement opportunities for Civil Engineering

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements after the 7th semester. Frequent recruiters are OIL, NRL, Dalmia Cement, Star Cement, Zaloni, Dabur etc. The percentage of students getting placed is high year on year. Most students also go abroad for higher studies. Many alumni are the government services like PWD, Water Resources, PHED, Civil Services officers, and Entrepreneurs.

Placement Experience:

From the 6th semester, students get eligible for placements. Many companies make a visit. PSU jobs are the highest packages students get. 70% of students get placed. My plan is to secure a job in a good company or higher studies

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester, students are allowed to sit for placement. Several companies come for campus placements mostly IT-related but core companies visit also PSU. The average percentage will be around 70 to 75.

JEC- Shining Bright Since 1960

Placement Experience:

From 6th semester onwards, students become eligible to sit for on campus placements. Many companies visit our college like Wipro, cognizant, Accenture, TCS etc. According to my knowledge, the highest package received from our college was 50+lacs (I've heard from others). As many as 90% students got placement offers. After getting the degree, I want to move to Germany to pursue a mTech degree in software development and data structure.

Nice College to study in Assam

Placement Experience:

Eligible for 7th semester: Tata, TCS, Reliance, AIRTEL, Vodafone, Mahindra, Avg 2-13 lakhs per annum. About 10-13% got placement every year. Either to get selected by a company or further study may be M.tech or Ph.D.
