In Depth review for JEC, Jorhat.

Likes

The teaching and the non teaching staff are highly appreciable with the effort they put towards their duty.
The fees structure for the course is very much value for money as it is a Govt. based college.
The examination facilites of the college are good with a very organised examination structure.

Dislikes

The laboratory of the college are not well equiped.
The lab are closed at 4.30pm which makes it difficult for students to work for extra hours in lab environment.
The watersupply system of the college is not functional for most of the time which doesn't meet the need of students properly.

Admission:

Earlier to this college, I applied for Debraj Roy College, Golaghat and got admitted in the college for Bachelors degree in Mathematics but due to better scope of employment and since the B.Tech course if mostly of application basis, hence I found it much more preferrable over a bachelor of science degree.

JEC- All Together in a review

Likes

Closed Campus and sufficient infrastructure.
Far away from Main Town and good sports facilities.
Hostels and bonding with juniors and seniors.

Dislikes

Bonding between the Professor and Students is not upto the mark.
Academics pressure over other fields like sports ,music
Poor sports infrastructure. Not well developed.

Jorhat Engineering College is in a well prominent place . Assam Govt have another colleges like Assam Engineering College, JIST Assam Engineering College being in Guwahati has lot of exposure. Jorhat being the 2nd

Placement provided for bigger MNC company
Culture vibes are there they care about your culture
They help to grow students like some students are week in a subject they motivate

Dislikes

There class timings some time because it's started from 7 AM
Product based company they don't provide
Hostel is very old and darty some time need to renovation

I applied this college only and luckily got....for getting this college you need to appear exam called CEE I got 2nd rank in this exam and got selected in this college cutting off is very high as this top college of assam

Jorhat engineering college campus and other details

Likes

The college campus is upto the mark and good faculty
The infrastructure quality is too with broad classrooms and hall and also the hostels are good
There is placement for cse students but there is no such placement for civil students

Dislikes

The canteen food is totally bad and not good at all
The switching of courses is a bit hard , if you are thinking of switching the department then you cannot
There is no such personality development and no other things

Admission:

The college is good overall and students can pursue for engineering course here. I even went for AEC but I didn't got seat there so I came here . For the admission process students have to crack jee or cee entrance examinations and only after that based on your ranking you will be selected

JEC a short story

Likes

College life is very good. Very good relationship between student and professor. Sports activities are nice
Laboratory and workshop are there for practical knowledge
Hostels are there. College week,Hostel week and Phoenix

Dislikes

8 to 4 pm classes all day..assignments are there
Water supply problem in college campus. Cows are roaming around the campus
College campus is not very clear. Lack of cleaning

Admission:

The admission process is well-structured with clear accessible application forms, and transparent fees. Entrance exams are moderate, held annually,If any seats remain after online procedure gets completed then you can get admission by directly contacting college administration. You can get good scholarship if you belong to lower caste

College administration is quite good , placement and all is better for CSE and decent for other branches

Dislikes

Practical knowledge and workshop is lagging behind no such practical field takes place and as of engineering no tech fest takes place

Admission:

The admission for this college is through an extrance exam based on All the engineering colleges of Assam called Common Entrance Exam(CEE) I took admission in the year 2021and at that time the cut off was for mechanical branch was65 for OBC and I got around 120/320 and as per preference I got admission in this college

Good quality education is provided in this college. Good facilities are given to the students.
Interactive teacher who helped us very much. Teacher also help in every problem

The eligibility of the course is the age of the students must be below 21, he should pass class 10 , class 12 and also qualified the cee exam which is conducted once in a year by ASTU. Reservation is given with respect to the caste you belong to high preference is given to ST , SC ,OBC lastly General

the campus life is good and one can easily co-operate with the friendly environment
the faculities of the college is also good and friendly
there are many curicullam activities in the college feast,sports etc

Dislikes

there must be more interective classes as compared by now
there must be more increment in the infrarastructure
the college must include some more activities in there college

Admission:

a student is elligible to apply after he/she has cleared his 12th with minimum 75% mark in PCM. after that they can apply foe CEE exam wich is conducted by ASTU and if the clears the exam they can apply for the college and sit in the counselling process.there is also caste reservation in the counselling.CEE exam is of 3hrs and consists of PCM question which is moderate level questions.the admission process is quite good and no such improvement is required.

Likes

Good Hostel facilities and good facultly
Nearby local shops and the college is near to the main town area
Peaceful and calm environment for study and also have good place to chill out

Admission:

Admission can be taken in Jorhat Engineering college by clearing the state engineering entrance exam called CEE, it is like JEE only but the exam is organised by the state university. Cut-off vary from year to year, but one can easily qualify if he or she has good knowlegde about PCM in 11 and 12th class. It is much easier than JEE
