It is family friendly college no ragging in this college
Facilities are highly qualified. Teachers are helpful.
Campus is small but beautiful well maintained

In this college cse and it placement in low but ct placement 100%

Admission:

I sit in wbjee exam in 2024 and my rank was 4232 . And in councelling process in first round I get this college and also second round I get this college and the college also good. Facilities are good so I take addmission

Likes

The college teachers are highly qualified and are very helpful. Seniors are very friendly.
There are different clubs like coding club, robotics club, music club, dance club etc. Sky watching camps are also organized.
Many senior students crack gate exam after studying from this college.

Dislikes

College infrastructure is not so good. Small college campus and very few students get hostel accommodation.
Less on campus placement opportunities for cse and it students.

Admission:

I got metallurgical engineering in NIT durgapur and mining engineering in IIEST shibpur. But i want to study computer science engineering. I got cse in makaut university. But the college is situated in outskirts of kalyani city. The fees of makaut is also very high. So i left makaut and join gcect.

Why GCECT stands out: My Perspective

Likes

The college have less number of students in total so the senior-junior bonding is very strong, providing a homely environment.
Both the teaching and non-teaching stuffs are quite good and supportive. The college also arrange those teaching stuffs as mentors, 5-6 students per mentor. Girl students are particularly provided with female teachers as mentors.
The college also have various active clubs like - Robotics, photography, drama, music, sports, astronomy etc.

Dislikes

The campus is full of greenery but little bit small.
The infrastructures are not that developed, like some projectors & computers are non functional.
The college have only three branches in B.Tech.

Admission:

I scored 95 percentile in Jee mains 2024. On that basis I was getting NIT Agartala, NIT Durgapur, NIT Shrinagar,IIEST Shibpur lower branches. I wanted to do CSE , so according to my WBJEE rank was getting this government college. Sit for WBJEE exam, get under 3000-4000 rank , apply for WBJEE counselling.

Fee Structure of this college is Affordable.
Autonomous College,College Teachers sets the question paper.
Sports, Gym, Library Facility is available.

Dislikes

Campus and the Playground of the college is small.
Less On Campus Placement Opportunity For CSE and IT Students.
Canteen is available but not opened from 3 months.

Admission:

Admission is based on West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) Counselling and Decentrallized counselling. In WBJEE counselling you get college on the basis of your rank and preference order of college choice list. I choose this college because this is government college, fees is affordable. And i got CSE branch in this college.

Our college is very natural college. I'm proud of our college.
Our college is Daly's clear and clean, so it is very good.
Girls safety is very good, friends circle very strong.

Admission:

I'm needed to job, I'm belong to poor family. So this course help my future. Because this course placement are 100% . Our honorable HOD is very good person. That is reson all student are placed for all ceramic company.

Class room are also clean and under cctv camera

Play ground not big we can't arrange multiple events
Auditorium are also not good condition ac are not working
Academic curriculum are not good to me because question pattern are not included mcq

Basically 1st of all this college are situated central kolkata so comunication Way is more developed and others facilities also more devlopment like mess pg etc.and 4 th rank to west bengal government engineering college admission process through wbjee exam

TAKE A LOOK TO GCECT

Likes

The environment, a neat and clean campus, little but well organized and well maintained campus surrounded by nature.
Students Teacher friendly relationship. A healthy relationship between students and teachers which helps students to feel like a home, and can communicate with respective teachers without any hesitation
A strong bond between batchmates and also between senior, juniors. We play, sing, do funs, social activities also take part in college events together with our seniors as well juniors.

Dislikes

Canteen is not upto the mark. The menu list is very very limited as well as canteen is not even open regularly.

Admission:

I preferred this college because it is at a good location in Kolkata, which help me to access metro, bus, auto etc according to my need. Also I preferred this college after checking a good record of placement in past, also environment, games and pictures of social works held in collage campus or outside campus attracted me a lot. Also there is very small batch strength so teachers can focus accordingly on each and every student and also I got decent good reviews by ex students of this college.

College is Autonomous. So which ever college teacher teach that only coming in exam
College Gym Facility which I liked most.
College Lab is one of the best in quality.

Dislikes

College situated in a busy market where population is very high.
College campus is very small as compare to other govt college.
Many College teachers are not students friendly.

Admission:

Because it is a west bengal government engineering college. It is also autonomous college. Here many maritorious students are studied. It is autonomous so whatever we tought in class that questions comes in exam. It is very good things in autonomous college.

Its an Autonomous collage under MAKAUT , Small compact Collage , Neat and Clean , Teachers are friendly , everyone knows everyone , its like family here , great placement for Ceramic department, thats the main depertment of the collage , no poltics
Apart from study many clubs are there like photography , astronomy , art . fest is organized by the SWA ( Student Welfare Association ) , No Political pressure like other university or collage , no ragging , seniors are very friendly
No politics inside campus , Very Neat and clean campus , Everyone is very friendly ,Helpful senior , teachers are here very polite spoken , highly qualified teachers , you can study in library as well , apart from study many clubs are there .

Dislikes

small Campus , infrastructure can be improved , canteen facility should be given
there is no such dislike about the great collage but one thing is infrastructure can be improved
No M tech facility for Computer Science Engineering Students

Admission:

You Have to take admission through Wbjee Examination ( west bengal government Conduct the Exam every year ) , But You Cant just take direct admission here through donation because it is a government collage , You Need Under 4000 rank foe CSE and 6000-7000 for IT and 10000+ for Ceramic Technology (CT)

Only one autonomous government college under makaut
The teachers are very helpful, they provide quality of classes, lab infrastructure are also very good
You can explore your self in college, there are so many clubs to explore like coding club gaming club cultural club sports club and many more

Dislikes

The campus size is not that big, like other colleges
Availability of minimum branch in btech only CSE IT and CT
Don't have any mtech program in CSE but you can pursue in IT CT

Admission:

The college take direct addmissions from wbjee exam . It is an government college so there are no direct admission in college or no donation addmission. If give wbjee and fullfill the criteria then only you can take admission. If you scored rank under 4k then get CSE And if you scored under 5.5k then you get it and if you plan for CT 8k or 9k it goes maximum
