I am student from economicaly backward condition there are so many scholarships provided here to support students like us .
Many festivals and programs are conducted in the congress almost all the festivals are celebrated here all kinds of books and journal are available here sports and extracurricular activities are well praised here
The faculty's impressive credentials and passion for teaching create a supportive and challenging environment.

Dislikes

The timings of class hours is little bit poor.
College is in a remote area so there is no enough required facilities
transportation facilities is very low, Study in Collage after 9-00 p

My college Experience in GEC Palakkad

Likes

Infrastructure facilities are better.College bus available.
Good college situated in calm atmosphere.which enhances concentration
Every department has their own placement cells available

Dislikes

College situated in a village area, not in a town.
Public Transportation facilities are limited
Government College hostel accomodation is less

Placement Experience:

After semester 7 you are eligible for campus placements.Top companies are conducting placement drives.minimum 3LPA to 7LPA are starting salaries.Each department has their own placement cells.They are well efficient and improving every year.around 80 percentage students are getting passout and around 10-15% student getting campus placements and 40-50% of students getting other placements.

The infrastructure is good and i liked it
Also the professor’s knowledge and way of teaching
Extra curricular activities held by the college

Dislikes

Most of the space is empty in the college
Lack of space in the college hostel for students
College is situated far away from the town

There are placement providing in the college. The number of placement will depend on the course you selected. Currently there are placements providing 1-3 LPA average salary coming to the college. Almost of the students will get placed in the college.

Placement Experience:

From semester 5 you become eligible for placements. Qburst, speridian, and many others visited. You have option for off-campus placements too means companies that don't apply through college which we need to apply ourselves. From my department around 30 students got placed.

The campus life in the college is outstanding and interesting, the night events are just awesome .
The art fest and sports meet held in college were interesting and challenging which makes that more engaging .
The teachers and their behaviour is very nice and kind. They consider us as their friends and they behave very friendly.

Dislikes

The academics are very boring and the syllabus is very long
Many rules are there we have to follow that there is minimum attendence percentage that we need fro writing exams

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements in their 7th or 8th semester . The college is providing different classes and training programmes for students before facing placement interviews. There are many companies which visit college including Walkaro, Kodnest, etc. Many students are being placed in many industries in past few years, average of 300 students are placed in last year . I am looking for post graduate in designing after getting my b. Tech degree

Affordable fee structure which is very convinient
Opportunities to become part of active campus communities
Good infrastructure and learning facilities

Dislikes

Less opportunities for campus placement for final year students
College is located in a rural area. less availability of public transport system
Scarcity of water will be experienced during summer times

Placement Experience:

From 7 th semester onwards placemets will be provided for students.TCS , COGNIZANT , TATA ELXSI, Q BURST are main companies visited during past years.Highest pacakge offered by companies range from 20 LPA to 25LPA. Lowest package range from3.5 lakh to 4 lakh.Nearly 30 percentage of students are getting placed from campus per year.I am actively looking for higher studies opportunities after getting the degree.

The college life and it's ambience provide peaceful environment
College infrastructure and technology available
The college staff and faculty is very friendly

Dislikes

College is situated in under develop area and it is quite forest
The distance was the nearest railway station is very high
To find a good restaurant we must travel along distance

Students become eligible for campus placement from the 6th semester and many companies like Wipro come and visit and take skillful students The average packages around 1 lakh per Adam and around 50% students get placed

Likes

Things i liked about gecskp is campus is friendly and ragging free.
There is a lot of clubs and each club conducts different types of activities
Apart from technical events there is events which promotes arts.

Dislikes

There will be some issues regarding the availability of water
Some buildings will close at 6 pm evening though the closing time is at 9.30
Unavailability of sufficient equipment in lab .

Placement Experience:

There is placements provided in our campus. Most of the companies coming for placement is IT based but as electrical student we need more core companies to come here. Placements regrading oru core subjects or course is less.
