Life at GCET

Likes

The college campus is very spacious and very peaceful as it is surrounded by greenary all around.
If we have any project ideas or any startup plan we can take it to the management and definitely we will be supported financially and also letting us use the college equipment.
The faculty is supportive and each branch has its own block , labs are equipped with the latest equipments. Faculty supports us in our projects and assignments

Dislikes

The food and hygiene in the canteen is not up to the mark and the food is sold at a higher price.
There is no proper cleanliness in some areas of the college and also the behaviour of the security with the students is a bit rude sometimes
The sports room doesn't have enough equipment and most of the time the ground is occupied by the students who are participating in the competitions not letting others to play.

Student view on course curriculum

In the course EEE we have labs and regular classes going on but we require more practical knowledge than theory knowledge as the core subjects can't be understood with theory knowledge. We need to have more labs and explain all the electrical equipment physically which makes it easy for us students lo learn and understandable. The exams are conducted after every 45 to 50 days of classes. We hope it atleast become 60 days because we won't be able to attend classes if we participate in other events which is difficult for us to complete the course.

Yearly fees structure and scholarship

Our tuition fees is same as JNTUH fees-120000 and increases only in every 2 to 3 years. Most of the students have reservations so providing the proof of their income they will get a scholarship of 35000 in our tuition fees We have various companies providing placements and internships from varuous departments. There are some organization providing scholarship for the students who are unable to pay the tuition fees and also provided laptops at a lesser price.

College fest and various activities

We mainly have 3 fests conducted every year 1- Technical fest(Bhaswara) 2- Cultural fests(VIBGYOR and VIBES) These are mostly held in the months of march-april We have books of various authors and journals in our library from which we can choose whatever we want and understand the topics from the various authors perspective. Our classrooms are equipped with digital boards which helps to make our presentations easy We have all indoor and outdoor sports and there are various competitions conducted inter college and with other colleges too We run various clubs related to Cultural and technical. We have a student portal and a instagram page in which we get all the information related to results,events and important messages

Student views on the faculty

The faculty in the college is very supportive and most of the faculty members in each and every department have completed their Ph.D or their master degree with respective to their subject. They not only guide us related to the subject but also anything related to cocurricular or extra-curricular activities. Giving us the information about the activities or fests happening in various colleges and in our college we have various clubs and activities related to clubs

Admission

In Telangana we have 2 exams EAMCET and ECET exams to get into B.Tech college. Students write EAMCET exam after completion of the intermediate and students who do their diploma write ECET exam to get into B.Tech college Applications for these exams will be in online mode. These exams are conducted once in a year and the questions can be answers if we have the basic knowledge till our 10th class subjects There is more paper work done during the process of admission which can be reduced making it online as it is easy for everyone

Well my college is very fast growing collage as you can see my super seniors and all are less people but now admissions are going crazy people are paying good amount of money just because of the discipline of the college.
The main thing I liked about college is it is very clean and good and filled with tree's and all and also there is no ragging in your college very free and no other disturbance form any one in the college.

Dislikes

There is no open gates in the college you need to wait till the college ends .if you need to go out you need to come up with some body permission
The main thing I disliked about my college is there are no preference for sports no ground no proper equipment in sports.

I chose this college because it is ragging free campus with good infrastructure and good studies and with good placements.i applied for the top and above colleges in Hyderabad line cbit and vasavi but my rank is some low so i entered this college. Yes i rejected from other colleges due to bad rank. They'll send you some documents you need to give it to them with fee paid.

There are many facilities available in this college.
The Eco system in the college was too good.

Labs has to be updated with the latest infrastructure.

I want to become a software Developer. So I choose this computer science and engineering course. I tried in many colleges but due to my EAMCET rank I joined in this college. I got a free seat in this college. The admission process for this college is in different ways. Student can get the free seat, if he got the good rank in competitive examinations such as TS EAMCET or JEE Mains. The other way is to buy a college seat through donation. We can able to buy a management quota seat through the donation.

This college is in the race of top 15 colleges in Telangana. It has good placements than many other colleges For an average rank of 20000 for general category student this college suits perfectly. It has only 1400 students per year compared to other colleges it is less so there is great chance to become a spot light. Eamcet rank for CSE : 20000 (General).

Rules are very strictly followed and environment is so good.
Faculty's are friendly with everyone and labs are very neat.

it so far from bus stop for students who comes rtc buses.
College times will be difficult for the students who come in rtc buses.

Likes

The exploration we get. There will be many seminars arranged by the college for different types of interests. Say for placements, for higher education,for government exam preparation etc.
Our college encourages other activities as well , like hackathons, tech fest, most importantly different kinds of clubs, flash mod etc.

Dislikes

Parking availablity . As there are many students and faculty the parking availablity is not up to point.
Timings of the college, it would be great if it starts from 9.30 or 10 am

Firstly I have applied for kmit college and I got rejected as the cut off was high than my rank which is 759 in ECET , then I decided to apply for Geethanjali college of engineering and technology as I suite for the eligibility criteria . As I expected I got selected and got admission in the college.The admission experience was good and simple, ECET and EAMCET exams are accepted for the B.tech admission and the cutoffs will change every year accordingly.

Under the UG domain it offers B.Tech. courses in 8 specializations and in the PG domain it offers M.Tech. and MBA programmes.

70% of the seats are allotted for the merit students based on their rank in the entrance exam, and 30% of the seats are allocated under NRI/Management quota.

For B.Tech. the admission is done throug EAMCET (Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test)
For M.Tech. the admission is done through PGECET (Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test)
