In what process the admission fee will be paid by the students of FIEM?

The admission fee must be paid by Demand Draft or Cash in favor of Future Institute Of Engineering And Management, payable at Kolkata to be deposited at Axis Bank (All Branch) & Allahabad Bank (Narendrapur Branch) opposite to FIEM.

Is FIEM AICTE approved?

Yes, all the courses provided by FIEM are AICTE approved & the institute is affiliated with MAKUAT. FIEM is a private institute, established in 2002.

Are students required to get appeared in any interview session for admission to the FIEM MBA course?

Yes, students with qualified MAT scores are required to appear in a group discussion and personal interview. Selection will be based on examination scores, academic records, weightage for work experience, group discussion, and personal interviews.

Does FIEM accept any other entrances apart from MAT for admission to MBA?

FIEM accepts admission to MBA courses only if the students have valid MAT / CMAT / JEMAT Scores. With any of these qualified scores, students should perform well in the PI & GD session as the selection will be overall performance-based.

How are the facilities provided by FIEM?

FIEM - The Nooks and Corners !

The thing which I like the most is the opportunity to increase my social life in the college campus and nearby. As for me, someone who is entitled towards knowing people and making friends, this is quite helpful.
The clubs- there are 5 different clubs aiding to each field , like cultural , technical , sports , film and even a Google development club which is quite fun and interesting
A part of the faculty who doesn't only have knowledge, but also is good in teaching students with a fevour. Not every faculty has right teaching skills, but the ones who do are extremely talented.

Dislikes

The infrastructure is one among them - you would find few fans and lights to be not working from the first day itself and it would need several complains to finally let the management work on it.
A part of faculty who though has the knowledge, doesn't know how to imply it correctly into teaching . They might be really good with their qualifications but it is terrible when it comes to teaching
The canteen , it's a place , I enter once in 6 months if very much needed. That place is too unhygienic and even the one who looks after the canteen is quite ill mannered at times

Tbh, I haven't yet got any internship and hence speaking without any experience on it is not well . But I might say college does push you into making projects for your cv. From the first year itself , project competitions began which make the students work themselves up in learning new skills , so as to put it in their projects.

Likes

Affordable Fee structure as compare to other private colleges
student organization and clubs for extracurricular activites
emphasis in soft skills, communication, and personality devloment through workshops and mock interview

Dislikes

limited infrastructure quality like the canteen is not good also classroom is not to the point
placement bias towards ( IT, CSE, DS, ) if you want to take any other course except this you should take admission in some other college
a higher student to faculty ratio which can lead to less personalized attention and support

Internships Opportunities:

fiem provides various internship oppurtunites for students primarly in the cse department with a focus on industry exposure and skill development cognizant:- role software development intern stipend 10,000 - 15,000 per month

Faculties of our department I liked the most.
Extra curriculum activities from departmental side.

Dislikes

Less on campus opportunities provided to us.
Small playground and festive ground in our campus.

Placement Experience:

In on campus 3 to 4 companies came like Accenture, Cognizant, Capsitech and some startups. So many pooled campus companies were visited at that time. Average package offered was 4LPA. Minimum 60% in 10th and 12th is required to be eligible in the placement drive in most of the companies.

Different clubs , events are there which you will enjoy.
Professors and Lab assistants in some of the departments are really helpful.

Dislikes

Not much opportunities regarding on campus placement.
Lab infrastructure is not upto the mark.

Placement Experience:

Recruiting MNC Companies: Accenture, Cognizant From 7th semester onwards everyone is eligible for the campus placements. In pooled campus more than 50+ companies visited our campus. On an average on campus companies were hired 70-80% of the students. Average package offered is 4LPA.

Likes

Teachers are very friendly, they understand your problems.
No compulsory attendance of 75% criteria.
No uniform like some of colleges in Kolkata.

Dislikes

We don't have a lift in the building, and that's create lot of problems if u have injury in leg.
Campus is not that big, and we don't have any full size football ground.
Our college doesn't have any hostel facility. They do affiliate with other pg providers.

Placement Experience:

See, as 2022 & 2023 was a exception yrs in tech industry, the placement provided via college was pretty low, but as I can see not things are getting better. We get our internships on 3rd yr 2nd sem onwards. Max of companies give internship and based ppo offer they get the job. Before 2022, 91% is the placement percentage.

In our college the companies which usually comes are companies like Wipro , Infosys , tata , bandhan Bank , axis Bank etc . The job is offered as of the starter some of them have stipend and some of them don't have stipend.

The programs they arranged all together for everyone and the happy way everyone do things like there home and the lovely faculties, they also participate in everything.
The teachers teaches us so nicely and they teach us repeatedly when we don't understand some things
The placement is good they prepare everyone for the placement part and they are very friendly with us and that is the plus point .

Dislikes

There's not that much of things that i dislike .
A strict rule to not say any personal things
And the attitude of the seniors that need to be changed

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester students become eligible for placement. TCS , WIPRO , AMAZON and many others. TCS offer 25000 starting, wipro offers 250000 yearly starting. Percentage of getting placement is 70% . Getting a placement and a job.

The clubs are good they make you comfortable for any situation you face
The teachers really try their best for the betterment of students
Seniors are caring there is no ragging in college

Dislikes

There is limited sports available in college
The guards are too much sometimes if you don't have id card they won't let you in no matter what
There's not many food options near college so the students who are coming from far have to carry tiffin

Placement Experience:

Many MNCs and reputable companies provide jobs on our college campusing few students even got 12-16 LPA jobs on campus from our college if you can prepare well with the help of facultys than I assure you ,you can get a job on campus
