Being a doctor is one of the most noble profession, and getting to learn how to cure someone is what made me take up this course. Curriculum is well planned by NMC, and it caters all aspects and not just regular theory classes but also SDL's (self directed learning), practical classes , clinical posting classes, FA's etc. All these help in holistic development of mbbs students to become better Doctors in future. There are some areas of improvement like, more use of technology should be inculcated along with real life scenarios based teaching, teaching of basic medical skills should be emphasised more. Classes for co-curricular activities should be inculcated. Exams are taken every quarterly at college level, and final exams at the university level by Jammu University. The written exam is of 100 marks and timing is of 3 hours. Exams are not that tough if one studies consistently throughout the year.

Prestigious and Old College All departments well established since 1972 Fees very much affordable No service bond after Mbbs Present in the centre of city not like other colleges that are located in periphery. Heavy patient load provides too much of experience. Only big Hospital in the City . Very well equipped labs and classes.

NMC did many changes in the latest curriculum, inculcating practical values and life experiences needed to know as a clinician more and that too from the start . Biometric attendance ensures fair attendance to all and the need to attend lectures . Exams never end . Medico means to have exams every now and then .

Studying medicine is indeed one of the most difficult course to pursue as an undergraduate. The new CBME pattern have made it clear for the ug students to have knowledge of certain core competencies and some extra optional competencies Exams are indeed difficult and for pg enternce to revise 19 subjects is a big task

I wantes to become a doctor. Faculty ratio was not good for years ago but now there arw more available pgs. All the faculty are either mbbs graduates or MDs. Term exams were always on time and they were quote challanging but passable of we studied properly

It was my dream. The faculty-to-student ratio is sufficient. The Faculties are highly qualified and different types of teaching methods are used like lectures, demonstrations, audio-visual aids, field visits, and clinical classes. Term exams happen every four months and difficulty level is moderate.

Under the MBBS course, which is of 4 and half years; it includes 19 subjects plus one year of internship. Overall faculty is good. Theory and clinical classes are held appropriately. Three terminal exams are held every year and one must have min 50% to pass them

It was my dream to get admission in government medical college as I wanted to become a successful doctor. All faculty member are postgraduates and most of them have teaching experience of 10-15 yrs. Mode of teaching is through smart class, interactive classes are taken , assignments are given. Exams are conducted according to the schedule made by NMC. Internals are conducted thrice a year and at the end of the year University exams are taken !
Our terminal exams are held every three months and in one year, there are at least two terminal exams. Terminal exams a little bit more difficult than the final exam because we have to learn everything more deeply as compared to final exams because in final exams there are a huge number of chapters that we have to cover in a short time so we focus mainly on the most important topics that you have to cover but in the terminals, this case is different as we have to learn every line by line thing, and also there is a little bit strict marking in the terminals and I would say that terminals are a little bit more difficult than the final exams
