My review on my college

Likes

Almost everything is fine classroom are average and if there is need of any improvement it is in hostel.
We used to ho to class and also we having posting where we interact with students
Teachers are intelligent fully qualified and very polite to students

Dislikes

The infrastructure of our college and hostel is not good at all
This degreee causes a lot of stress from each point of view whether it is due to study or anything
There are no placement in this college and during internship we have to work all day and night

Admission:

Government medical College Jammu is the best college in Jammu and kashmir as compared to other colleges like gmc srinagar gmc Anantnag gmc rajouri gmc kathua gmc baramulla gmc doda. It lies in the main city area of Jammu

Teachers and seniors are good and helping
Cafteria is good and hygienic and I like it

Dislikes

Classroms are not that much good and uncomfortable
Some seniors are toxic and very much torchering
Hostel mess food is not good and is very bad

This is my dream college and no, one college in my state it's a pleasure to be in this college and I am not rejected from other colleges it's my first choice college and alhamdulillah I got it and I am blessed

Infrastructure is good and seniors are helping
Campus life is balanced college timing is good
Infrastructure is very good and is developing day by day

Dislikes

Nothing much college timing is extreme and there are classes which are not required
Break time is too short I think it must be increased
Students are selfish and very less friendly

It's my dream college as well as former college of my brother so I chooses this Cole fe over others other than this college I personally like aims Delhi and aims bathinda and gmc Srinagar and many other colleges

GMC-Jammu in a Glance

Likes

Faculties are highly qualified and are best in their respective fields.
Infrastructure has developed over past few years, Cafeterias and Library are centrally Air conditioned, New lecture halls have been made.
Library has 500 students sitting capacity, with good lighting, sitting and all books available.

Dislikes

Washrooms need renovation and proper sanitation
Lifts should be maintained in a better way, rather new ones should be employed now as many departments are almost 5,6 floors up.

To be very honest I didn't apply for any other colleges apart from GMC Jammu. Because in my state it's the best college for pursuing mbbs. Since it started operating in 1973, it has a history of high experience and high patient inflow as compared to other colleges like GMC Kathua, GMC Rajouri, etc. The teachers here are highly experienced as compared to any other college in the region. The exam required to be cleared before getting admission into mbbs course is NEET-UG. The cut-offs stay pretty high for General category students. This year in 2024 admissions, cut off for open merit was 667 for boys and 634 for girls in GMC Jammu. Overall admission process is not that difficult. One has to fulfill some requests which are enlisted by the college's student section every year, he's of them being a Transfer certificate from school, 12th mark sheet, Identify proofs, migration certificate, character certificate, health certificate, etc.

College is well established and hence provides all the facilities to students . Labs and classes are well equipped.
College provide a great exposure to patients. And give opportunity to students to deal in front .

Dislikes

Social life is not that good in the City. Mostly shops are closed around 9 pm in the night
All the processes are a little delay and takes time to proceed .

Admission:

I chose this college over there because of the following aspects 1- College fees is very minimal . 2- No service Bond after MBBS 3- Very old and established college . Admission process is through NEET UG Exam .

GMC JAMMU - HONEST AND BRUTAL REVIEW

Teaching style , good working environment, government set up hence minimum cost
Best seniors , good clinical practice opportunities
Research opportunities available, healthy competition

Dislikes

Shortage issues , hot weather in summers and non functional AC
Hostel good , little bit of toxicity, ever lasting competition
Less personal space and time , management issues

Admission:

Admission process is simple . Candidate needs to clear neet UG, conducted by NTA . Then they are choosen by the state government as per jkbopee based on certain rules and regulations. After allotment, the management simplifies the procedure for students.

My college made my MBBS journey easy and interesting

Likes

Clinical exposure is good in this college....
Doctors put more efforts on teaching on the clinical basis
There is well equiped library, well spaced classrooms, hygienic cafeterias

Dislikes

Hostel food is somewhat not good and unhygienic
There are no ideal classrooms for the students
Some teachers do not put efforts on teaching

Admission:

Eligibility for the admission in mbbs is to clear the NEET entrance exam for which you should have physica chemistry and biology in secondary school. There is a huge reservation benefit in this course. But in my opinion the reservation should be removed or reduced to benefit the student who deserve this course.

Campus Life at GMC Jammu

Likes

Best college in the state to study medicine
Faculty is highly qualified and experienced
Maximum patient load in any hospital in jammu division

Dislikes

The campus is too small for the best medical college in j&k
Student number is much higher than the lecture hall capacity
College campus is in a highly dense and congested area in the old Jammu city

Admission:

Admission process is pretty simple You obviously require to clear neet and be selected in the counselling conduced by the jkbopee for mbbs admission in j&k. Dob certificate 12th marksheet Neet admit and score card Domicile are required

The friendly environment. The good friends that i made.
The patient exposure is also very good..
The campus is very big and students have enough time for enjoyment

Dislikes

Tere is not enough greenery in the campus
The parking spaces are also not good....
Sometimes there may not be adequate working facilities.

Admission:

I gave NEET exam for it. The application form and other documents were available theough NTA website. The admission process was very long and it should be shortened. Only people above 18 can get admission

I took admission through NEET (National eligibility cum entrance Test). The application form was filled out online and the application fee was 1600. I secured 560 marks and got admission to this college under the general category.
