Ans. Below given tips are some major things one should do as a fresher at Galgotias College of Engineering & Technology. Do not bunk classes. Make notes properly as they will help you during sessional and semester exams.  Take sessional exams seriously otherwise one will end up having low internal marks as Galgotia University doesn't give extra internal marks. Have friendly nature with everyone but don't make too many friends. By having too many friends can divert you in the wrong direction. Don't join any club just for fun and join only if you are interested. There are more than 30 clubs in GCET. Don't indulge in bad activities as GCET is very strict and you can be fined heavily or even suspended. The English language is overrated in GCET so if you are weak in it then start working on it. Set your goal on the day when you enter the college. It will help you to stay focused as there are thousands of distractions at the college if not being reminded about the goal.Read more

However, some points you might want or consider Campus : NIT Delhi operates from a temporary campus which is located far away from the country and its permanent campus is still under construction. IIT Delhi on the other hand is a fully-fledged established Institute with a fully functioning well facilitated campus. Placements : Although Textile Engineering has very few core job opportunities, people tend to go for non-core jobs instead to secure a high-paying job at a top company. Meanwhile, NIT Delhi being younger than IIT Delhi has fewer companies visiting campus with CS roles despite being a demanded branch. If you are actually keen to pursue CSE, go for better Engineering colleges like NITs, DTU, NSIT, and IIIT D. Ans. Definitely, you should go for NIT Jalandhar. There are various reasons and differences due to which NIT Jalandhar is the better option for CSE.  The first and foremost reason is the establishment. NIT Jalandhar is a well-established institute whereas NITD is still juggling to fit in the stream.  With the better ranking and almost all the courses available NIT Jalandhar has a huge campus which will give you a better campus life. Whereas, NITD is a small campus with a few numbers of available courses.  When it comes to CSE, there has been a decent placement from the past few years. Few top companies that one could count on recruitment are Amazon, Sapient, IBM, Infosys, etc.  Although NITD, being in the central position gives you good internship choices to CSE students in the Delhi NCR region. So, if you want to opt for a particular CSE branch then you can take a chance but for any other stream, NITD is a big no.  NITJ has a good CSE alumni base who are working in top companies.
