- The campus was really pretty, a river stream and a bridge that I had to cross everyday to get to my class.
- The class material was always on powerpoint, easy to follow, with textbooks mostly being optional for most of my courses
- Professors were really easy to approach, they always had office hours which I utilized to get good grades
Dislikes
- The distance, I lived a little far from campus, so had to travel 40 mins
- The online quizzes that I had to pay to do
- The cafeteria food, very expensive and not good in taste
Overview
It had the course I wanted to do, and the fees were reasonable too compared to the other universities in Toronto. I got in through the IDP agency, and they helped us file the visas and admission process. It didn't take long to get the offer letter after applying
Campus Life
There's a lot of Indians on campus, it doesn't feel like you're in a whole different country, so you still feel that aspect of home. There are also a lot of club activities around campus, so you always feel like you're a part of some event.

- I was interested in the rigor of the coursework, the prestige of the university, and the fact that I felt like it was an atmosphere of other students who made learning and their quirkiness a personality trait.
Overview
If I could go back in time to when I was applying to schools, I would still choose to apply to UChicago again. They gave me an incredible opportunity with great financial support to pursue what I wanted, and the connections I made after university were invaluable-- it is part of the reason I'm working where I am today. However, I would still be cautious and not underestimate the rigor of the coursework. The classes are challenging and their expectations of when you should complete assignments and the volume of text you have to read and essays you have to write can quickly become unmanageable if you let them slip, especially while maintaining your extracurriculars. The atmosphere of the school, while generally supportive, can still make you feel like you have to compare yourself to your incredibly bright classmates, which increases the pressure of your studies. I enjoyed the experiences I had but I would be lying if I didn't say my work ethic took a dive towards burnout before graduation. High expectations coupled with a slightly competitive class group and various extracurricular responsibilities make it feel impossible to stay afloat.
Campus Life
The extracurricular life of UChicago is thriving, with several organizations advertising, performing, and selling treats on campus. There is something for everyone, from a professional resume pad to a fun hobby to meet friends. The housing life tries to make you closer to your housemates through group activities (since you have to stay in campus housing for 2 years), but this was not as successful for me as I moved out after my first year. The libraries are plentiful, in addition to the student run coffee shops, all of which vary in aesthetic value. The wifi is decent-- often spotty but does the bare minimum of working. There are also two gyms on campus.

- Only because of course It's the only university offering master's degree in Big Data in whole Ontario.
Overview
My experience at Trent University was enriching and fulfilling. The campus offered a vibrant academic atmosphere, and the faculty was supportive and knowledgeable. Engaging in various extracurricular activities and research opportunities was rewarding. The emphasis on holistic development and a tight-knit community made my time there truly memorable.
Campus Life
Its very beautiful nature wise and area wise. It's the 2nd largest campus of Canada.
Overview
I found the university offering the course and subjects that I was interested in. Another brownie point went to its beautiful campus and very helpful and kind staff.
Fees
Just the tuition cost is around $12,000 per semester.
Overview
Scholarship money, cheaper than other universities, accepting the culture and interesting courses, has good varsity teams and a nice gym. Organized faculty and helpful academic advisor for international students and also job hunting and co-ops. It's ranked the most beautiful campus in the entire province and is on the banks of a river.
Fees
The fee structure is that like any other country international students pay three times the fees and scholarship opportunities are not many in Canada which are terrible because education is expensive however they do give an entrance scholarship based on the high school transcript marks. There are certain grants and further academic scholarships one can apply for in the later years, however, it is not of a significant amount.
Overview
Reputation and affordability of the program compared to other MBA programs in the country. The faculty is great also the co-op component of the program helps students who want to get work experience before graduation.
Fees
Fee for the whole year divided equally over three semesters (Fall summer and winter semesters). Other charges include yearly bus passes/parking pass, university cash, recreational activities, insurance, etc for co-op and health.
Overview
When I was deciding on my University choice I took a lot of factors into perspective. I have always been one to like small towns and drama-less places and Peterborough ON offered me both. Trent University is known for its beautiful environment and scenery and was very important in my decision.
Fees
As international student fees are very expensive and with the new Osap costs it?s only going to get more expensive.
Overview
The main reason I chose Trent is that they offered me a scholarship for free tuition. At the time I applied for post-secondary schools I believed I wanted to be far away from home. When it came time to choose though, this ended up being the closest school I had applied to and that was one of the reasons I chose it.
Fees
In the first year, residence and meal plans were extremely expensive. However, I receive free tuition which is incredibly helpful as tuition costs continue to rise. Additionally, buying a parking pass or parking ticket at the school is extremely expensive and doesn't even guarantee you will have a place to park at the school.
