  • My course was very easy for me until they made exams with pen and paper. It is very tough to manage study with a part-time job as a student.
  • My course of HRM is all theoretical and boring, they just once called SHRM industry people to meet us, but just once. Positive aspect is I find this subject very good so I enjoy giving presentations but it can be too theoretical sometimes and makes me not want to study at all
  • The course content prepared is very enough and even more for someone like me. I believe theoretical knowledge never guarantees a job, it's always the practicality that matters.
  • They teach everything they are telling on their website. But the industrial exposure and research experience are very less. Honestly, I have heard more from my friends who are in other colleges that their college got this or that industrialist to meet the students. My university just once has called the CHRP-certified people. CHRP is an exam of HRM.

Fees

  • Since, it's my very first course at York university. The fees for my course was $19000 plus taxes. When I was in India my counselor suggested that I pay full fees so that there is no issue in the visa. So, that is why firstly I paid $5000 to fix my spot at the university. And then later I gave my full fees. However, in my second course I have decided to pay semester-wise since I already have a visa now.
  • I live in a shared accommodation which is affordable so I pay $550 as my rent which is quite good. The transportation can be expensive so I have a transit pass for TTC bus which costs me $120 per month. Apart from $200 on the groceries.

The course curriculum is fairly easy and basic. We got to work on two simulations which gave us an idea about how things happen in a business on a day-to-day basis, what challenges do businesses face.

I chose to come to Canada primarily because of the fact that my family was moving here. I chose to study at York University due to its Goodwill and name in the market. My overall experience was a little below my expectations as the course did not really add to my current knowledge base.

Yes there were projects and hands on experience in classes with lab submissions plus there was co-op and internship options that you can applied .

Fees

30,000 dollars for fall winter semester in total so my course was for 3 years so you can do the total plus you can take courses in summer which is half of it since there is limit to the course you can take in summers

The course curriculum is very well-updated and structured. I was admitted to the Co-Op Program at the University of Waterloo, so I got industry work experience after every 2 semesters of study. I'm not gonna lie, getting those co-op jobs was not easy at all. You have to maintain a very high average and also perform brilliantly in all your major courses. You have to have a decent resume and be confident to talk to anyone.

Fees

Tuition fees, rent and other living expenses add up to almost 1 Crore rupees for 5 years. This excludes any luxury expenses or international vacations. Getting a part-time job becomes very important if you are not from a well-off financial background.
