• Around 50 percent of the batch got a job within 6 months in the same field of their degree. Average salary is around 70,000 CAD per year.
• Most of the students get a job through LinkedIn or through referrals.
• The highest salary is around 200,000 CAD per year, whereas the lowest salary is around 40,000 CAD per year.

• The best way is to find a house online on Facebook Marketplace or some other app because agents can sometimes scam you. It is easier if you have some friend or family or some other connection in the city so help you figure out housing and other stuff initially and help you get set in the city. So try to make good connections.

• After completing my course, below were different options available and profiles that my classmates have been selected into decreasing order of #students in each category:

• During 2019-2020, almost 80% of the class secured jobs within 2-3 months of completing course work since we had a mandatory co-op requirement to complete the degree.
• Note: In some cases, if a student does not land a job, they can get unpaid internships as well but our admission department would evaluate the authenticity case by case.
• Average salary range ~50k-70k annually with a 3-month probation period.
• Students might get places through campus or can find offline jobs in GTA regions.
• As new comer there would be higher chance to get hired in startups unless you have referral to big orgs like TD , RBC,BMO,Intact, Aviva, Deloitte, PnC,EY, CanadaLife, Qualcomm
• The highest can range from 80 to 90K and lowest can be 40 to 50K, depending on company, the number of years of experience of the candidate and job role.

• I stayed off-campus almost 5Km from campus at Wharncliffe Road North. This has pretty old houses with rent around 600-800 per month for a single room.
• Direct bus to Western University and lots of student accommodations in the area.
• Before landing in Canada, I talked to my then-college junior, who had room available in her house. I eventually lived there for 2 months and found better accommodation nearby.
• Most students find something on the Facebook Marketplace/Kijiji app or through friends.
• The lease is usually 1 year with options to transfer the lease or sublease your room incase you decide to move out early. Preferably go with month-to-month lease options.
• As international students, it is best to live with international students, as it is easier to shop for groceries, handle medical emergencies, manage mental health, and cook. While these do not seem like a priority at first, these basic necessities need attention for the long term.
• Please beware of scams, fraud postings and calls. NEVER give money until completely sure about the whereabouts of the place through online video calls/chats/previous tenants.
• Most owners/landlords do not force you to give money as they have plenty of options. Try finding accommodation that offers transit to university.

We do not have placement here. It is more like job fair where we can meet people of the same industry.

My experience at Western University has been truly transformative. The rigorous academic programs, supportive faculty, vibrant campus life, and countless opportunities for personal and professional growth have made my time here exceptional. I have formed lifelong friendships, gained valuable skills, and developed a strong sense of belonging within the Western community.

It is available but one needs to work and put efforts and use them for their good. One should be involved enough to keep an eye.

It was a decent learning experience and I learnt and grew but lot of things could be better but its a learning curve and it's different for everyone.

It’s very competitive market when it comes to get the first job. It is very common and does not matter from which university you are. Average package is around 75000. But I don’t have any exact figure.

As I wanted to pursue my masters in robotics field, I chose Western University. For admission purpose, I provided my transcripts, and IELTS result. My all the process has been done under the guidance of Canam, Anand branch. Campus is wonderful. It is considered as one of the best university campus. Most of the people are indigenous and Chinese. Campus is equipped with State of the art amenities and peaceful environment.

The College offers the students to participate in the study research centres at the campus for getting desired industry exposure.Beyond the classroom, Ivey students accomplish a global perspective on business issues, through study trips, online projects and networking events. The college witnesses manifold companies coming down to the campus which set up their research centres and screen out students through online projects ad various research opportunities. Besides these, there are Career Management programs.Under this program,the career coaching services are offered free for the students.The research programs and the online projects helps the students gain essential industry exposure which proves a milestone in gettin into a right job after the academics studies.

There were two strong reasons behind choosing the IVEY Business School for undergoing 1 year program in MBA which can be mentioned here :- 1) The Business School is one of its kind which deploys case learning method in every class apart from teaching from the conventional methodology.It helps you to uderstand the contemporary business world and shapes you to take the challenges ahead. 2) The strong alumni network of the Business School across Canada that would help getting desired job. I my opinion , making out for a job in Canada requires a strong alumni connection

Some are available after 3rd year via the application. U can also apply to do a work-study program.

I wanted to do their co-op/internship program available after 3rd year.

The work opportunities for students is vast. There are always communities and clubs that host events with bigger companies. These networks help them get an internship or any work experience. Our university also holds events where speakers from renowned companies come and give tips.

I chose this university because it is well known and reputed in Canada for the course I wanted to study keeping in mind the tuition fee as well

They have tons of companies come and visit western. As I said Willis Towers Watson as well I am going to a London Life presentation on Thursday. I am only second year so my specific information on the internships is very limited as I'd have to apply on my own at this point in time.

I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted to do in my life. Originally I wanted to be a dermatologist which would give me the freedom of any undergrad. I was originally accepted to all the universities I applied to for bio or biochem (as I loved bio). I got to thinking and knew bio was not a great degree to have if I didn't get into med school. A friend's relative is an actuary and the more she told me about it as well as when I took grade 12 calculus and fell in love with math I knew it was for me. Western was the only of the 4 schools I applied to where my major wasn't set in stone as well they offered me a 10,000 scholarship.

I opted for this college because it is well known in my area and a fantastic option for my location. My older sibling came here first. My admissions average was 85% in my top 6 university-level grade 12 courses. The admission process was easy and I only applied to western universities and affiliating colleges.
