  • The course Curriculum is Medium if one has paid good attention in class, they can easily top, though some fail as well due to lack of focus, but overall the teachers are supportive and help a lot the class schedule depends on th semester and for different students, it is typically 3 days a week with 2-3 classes max the major plus point about University is the small class sizes, around 24-35 class sizes only and 40-50 percent Indian and the rest from different nations in some classes, only 1-2 indians are seen.

Fees

  • So fees usually vary from course to course; taking me as an example, it will cost you around $22k-$25k per year and for housing around $600 per month and food $300-$400 depending on person and these are if you live off campus. On-campus living is around $4k per semester and fees are charged semesterly depending on how many credits you take.
  • For a full-time semester, you have to take 12 credits and each credit is around $725 and it increases every year. My Monthly expense is around $1200-$1300 which includes travel entertainment food rental and personal expenses.

  • The university made a group for all the students that were going to join in from the next semester, which made it easier to connect with my classmates and more students in the university and through that WhatsApp group, I found my first ever roommates.
  • I shifted in with them when I moved into this country but later on I found more friends and I have kept changing my houses.
  • It’s not that hard to find housing here. I’ve already changed like six houses here and like, it’s not that hard.

A few classes were relevant and useful. Over 70% of the classes were useless. I could have learned what they taught me in a whole semester in a week of self studying. No real industrial exposure either.

Fees

Chandigarh campus was around 450,000INR for a year. (2 semester = 10 courses) Abbotsford Campus (Canada) was around 2000$ per course. 10,000$ per semester.

The course syllabus is expanded and practical, far better than rote learning. It allows you to work outside and on campus, which helps you build connections and get exposure.

Fees

It is INR 12 lakhs or CAD 20000 for one year. However, the fees go semester-wise.

The Canadian course is easier than the one that they have in India especially in Computers. The ones that I am studying is far better than the Indian curriculum. In India, a Commerce student can?t really think about pursuing computer science. But, here I have friends who are from Commerce background and are doing really well in my course. Because, in this course, we are only taught about Mathematics and Statistics which are the only things required to access in this field. So, I think the pressure is easy and it is good for each and every type of student.

Our university's syllabus is up to date and is refreshed every semester. We get a time table and the books schedule like 2 3 weeks prior our beginning of new semester classes.

I initially took admission in UFV India and then I took transfer to UFV, Canada. One of the reasons was easy transfer to Canadian campus. Also it is ranked well in Canada.

We have learnt many relevant and important lessons in our course. The main focus is on applied learning. We get many assignments in which we need to go out in the market and meet managers of different companies and talk with them. We are taken out for an industrial visit occasionally to give more exposure about the business environment.

One of the branch of UFV was in Chandigarh, so we could transfer to Canada after completing 2 years of our degree.

The tution fee for the Diploma in Practical Nursing program at the University of the Fraser Valley is calculated based on a fee-per-credit basis.  The tuition and fees for the 2023-24 session is CAD 219.49. Besides this, students are also required to pay the student union & society fees and health & dental plan fee?.
