What Students Say
Likes
- I wanted to study abroad but wasn't ready to leave India so soon. They have a satellite campus in Chandigarh, where I belong, and offer transfer after attending it for one year. So, I thought this was the best opportunity to spend some time in India while receiving Canadian education.
Required Exams for Admission
It has been a great platform to expand my horizons and get as much experience as I can.
Course Curriculum
The course syllabus is expanded and practical, far better than rote learning. It allows you to work outside and on campus, which helps you build connections and get exposure.
Faculty
The faculty is a mix of Indian, Canadian, French, Chinese and many others. It is a diverse place to be in and experience different cultures at the same time.
Campus Life
The campus is absolutely stunning, with every other facility that you can think of. There is a huge library, many cafes, reading rooms, a stationery store, WiFi, a separate building for sports, a gym, etc. Other than that, they have different exciting events happening every week like movie nights, fests, creative activities, competitions, short trips, volunteering activities.
Placement
In Canada, there is no such trend of placements and you have to apply for jobs on your own. Co-ops are another thing where you become an intern for a semester and later they hire you once you're a graduate.
Accommodation
I live in a rented house with my friend. But there is accommodation provided by the college as well. Outside campus, you can live independently or in sharing, any which way your expenses allow.
Exams
IELTS 6.5-7 overall band, Minimum GPA over 2.67. No documents or interviews were required other than my academic record. No, I was not required to give any interviews because my score was quite high. However, if you are having an interview, just keep in mind to go through the universities background and be clear about your goals in the future.
Fees
It is INR 12 lakhs or CAD 20000 for one year. However, the fees go semester-wise.
Scholarship
No, I did not receive any scholarships but you can apply for them online on the university's website if you meet the requirements.
