  • My course is not really a job type. I don’t believe many people even think about taking a job after graduating with an MS in Physics throughout the country unless their research is in material science or condensed matter-related topics in physics.
  • Most students go for a PhD after a master's. This is because students doing this course generally have a plan to do long-term research. There are some jobs available in teaching as well, but a PhD is much more attractive compared to that.

  • There are many good accommodations available around, but if you are fully vegetarian and wish to have vegetarian roommates, it is extremely difficult to find. This is the reason I had to live alone for a year and paid 950 USD per month just for rent, excluding electricity (it included wifi, in-house washer/dryer, and almost all other appliances).
  • It was a 1-bedroom, unfurnished apartment. Now I am paying around 240 USD (Total is 950 USD for 2 2-bedroom apartments and there are 4 people living), excluding electricity, wifi, and there is a common laundry facility in the apartment complex. The previous apartment I found online, and the one I am living in now, I found as a vacant place with my friends.

  • 30-40% students get a job within 6 months of completing the course. In am not aware of the average salary, depends on the job, experience, their course work and lot of other things.
  • There are some portals where you can apply for jobs like handshake, LinkedIn and many more. Mostly industrial students get hired in Spirit and many medical devices manufacturing Industry.

  • I had my Seniors who helped me find the accommodation.
  • There are some whatsApp groups for the Indian students and some mission groups which will help to find accommodation. The rent is 220 and utilities like electricity and wifi are additional things .
  • I did not have any difficulties because of my seniors. But Whatsapp groups are best way to help each other out.
  • My accommodation is 0.5 miles away from the university and most of the indian students live in Tall Oaks apartments.

There are some companies with in the campus if you want to try you can.

According to the campus infrastructure it's very good and students have a variety of options like library sports center, etc. and they also get the chances of on campus jobs under the professor and in the dining hall and according to the study the faculty is good and everything depends on your focus.

I transferred here from the University of Kansas because WSU felt more like home and everyone is much friendlier and more helpful, making my experience less stressful.
