University of Central Missouri admissions run on a rolling three-intake calendar in Fall, Spring, and Summer, admitting most international applicants who meet the university’s Class XII floor of 60 percent for bachelor’s programs and a 3.0 GPA for master’s programs.

  • Fall 2027 primary intake: apply by 1 July 2027 from India for August 2027 entry.
  • Base tuition: non-resident USD 621.80 per credit hour (around INR 59,631) for undergraduate and USD 645 per credit hour (around INR 61,856) for graduate, plus a USD 75 (around INR 7,193) application fee.
  • Basic eligibility: UG needs Class XII with 60 percent and IELTS 5.5; PG needs a Bachelor’s with 3.0 GPA and IELTS 6.0.
  • Acceptance rate: around 64 percent, per UCM’s most recent Common Data Set.

Popular programs for Indian students at University of Central Missouri include MS Computer Science, MS Big Data Analytics and Information Technology, MS Cybersecurity, and the AACSB-accredited MBA. Alumni reviews consistently highlight the low tuition against other US public universities, small class sizes, and hands-on support from the International Student Services office in Ward Edwards.

Admission Status. Open. University of Central Missouri’s primary intake is Fall (August), and the Fall 2027 cycle is now accepting international applications with a 1 July 2027 deadline. The nearest live deadline for Indian applicants is 1 November 2026 for Spring 2027 entry, with a USD 75 (around INR 7,193) application fee payable on the UCM international portal at submission.

Currency note: All INR figures in this article use USD 1 = INR 95.90, the live rate on 25 August 2026.

University of Central Missouri Application Deadlines

UCM runs three international intakes each year and treats each deadline as a hard cutoff for the applying-from-abroad batch, per the official UCM international admissions page. Financial support documentation is due two weeks after each deadline. UCM’s primary intake for Indian students is Fall (August) - most master’s cohorts and undergraduate freshmen start here.

Intake Level App Opens Deadline (from India) App Fee
Fall 2027 (Primary intake) UG and PG Rolling 1 July 2027 USD 75 (around INR 7,193)
Spring 2027 UG and PG Rolling 1 November 2026 USD 75 (around INR 7,193)
Summer 2027 UG and PG Rolling 1 April 2027 USD 75 (around INR 7,193)

Note: UCM recommends submitting your application 3 to 4 months before the posted deadline so I-20 issuance and the F-1 visa interview fit comfortably before class start.

UCM Eligibility for Indian Students

Eligibility at UCM is set by two floors: an academic floor tied to Class XII or your bachelor’s degree, and an English proficiency floor with several accepted tests. Indian students who studied in an English-medium school still sit an English test unless a listed waiver applies.

UCM English Proficiency Minimums for Indian Applicants

IELTS Academic 5.5 6.0
TOEFL iBT 61 79

UCM English Waiver for Indian Students

India is not on UCM’s country-based English-waiver list, so most Indian applicants sit a test. You may still qualify for a waiver if you meet one of the following:

  • IB English: a score of 5 or 6 on a qualifying IB English paper.
  • US high school: two years of US high school attendance completed.
  • US college credit: 24 or more credit hours already earned at a regionally accredited US institution.
  • WASC-accredited school: secondary graduation from a WASC-accredited institution.

Insider note: UCM accepts Duolingo at 120 for graduate entry, which lets Indian applicants test from home and get results in about 48 hours if IELTS or TOEFL slots are booked out near the deadline.

University of Central Missouri MBA Admissions

UCM’s MBA is offered by the Harmon College of Business and Professional Studies as a 33 credit-hour AACSB-accredited degree, deliverable on campus at Warrensburg or fully online. Indian applicants can finish full-time in one year or part-time in two years.

UCM MBA Eligibility for Indian Applicants

  • Bachelor’s degree: any three or four-year bachelor’s from a UGC-recognised university.
  • GPA floor: 3.0 cumulative on 4.0 scale, roughly 60 percent in Indian terms.
  • GMAT or GRE: not required for admission at UCM’s MBA.
  • English: IELTS 6.0, TOEFL iBT 79, or Duolingo 120.
  • Work experience: not required for the general full-time MBA; the online MBA is popular with candidates who already have two-plus years of work experience.

UCM International Application Process

UCM uses its own admissions portal rather than a central platform like the Common Application, so the process is a single-university file. All materials, including transcripts and financial documents, upload through one dashboard.

  1. Create your account on the UCM international application portal and choose your intake and programme.
  2. Pay the application fee of USD 75 (around INR 7,193) at submission; it is non-refundable.
  3. Upload unofficial transcripts in English translation for Class XII, and, for PG applicants, your bachelor’s mark sheets and provisional or final degree certificate.
  4. Send an official transcript from your board or university, or a NACES-member credential evaluation, directly to International Student Services at Ward Edwards 1800.
  5. Upload English test scores from IELTS, TOEFL iBT, Duolingo, or another accepted test.
  6. Submit financial documents - bank statement in English translation showing at least the estimated first-year cost, plus the signed Financial Declaration Form, within two weeks of the application deadline.
  7. Upload passport bio and signature pages for I-20 processing.

Before you apply: Get your transcripts translated and evaluated at least eight weeks before the deadline, especially if you are using WES or another NACES evaluator, as they take four to six weeks in peak season.

Central Missouri Admission Decisions Timeline

UCM releases decisions on a rolling basis once your file is complete. Waiting for a single "results day" is not how this university works, so submitting earlier gets you an earlier decision.

  • Decision release: typically within 2 to 4 weeks after every document reaches International Student Services.
  • Offer type: most Indian applicants receive an unconditional letter once academic and English documents clear.
  • I-20 issuance: follows submission of your Financial Declaration Form and bank statement, usually inside 1 to 2 weeks after admission.
  • Deferral: admitted students may defer to the next intake within one academic year without reapplying.
  • Conditional admission: possible where academics are clear but the English test is short; conditions are cleared by completing UCM’s Intensive English Program.

UCM Documents Required for Indian Applicants

UCM’s document list stays consistent across UG and PG applicants; only the transcript scope changes. Prepare everything before starting the online form so you can submit in one session.

  • Passport: clear scan of the bio-data and signature pages, valid for at least six months past your intended start date.
  • Academic transcripts: Class X, Class XII, and (for PG) bachelor’s mark sheets, all with English translation.
  • Degree certificate: final or provisional, for PG applicants.
  • English test score report: IELTS, TOEFL, Duolingo, Cambridge, or Oxford ELLT.
  • Financial Declaration Form: UCM’s official form, signed by your sponsor.
  • Bank statement: translated to English, showing liquid funds covering at least the first-year estimated cost.
  • Sponsor affidavit: if funds are held by a parent or relative.
  • Statement of purpose: required for most graduate programs.
  • Letters of recommendation: two academic or professional letters for graduate applicants.
  • Resume or CV: for MBA and other work-experience-relevant PG programs.

University of Central Missouri Acceptance Rate

UCM’s acceptance rate sits at roughly 64 percent, per the university’s most recent Common Data Set publication. That places it in the access-oriented tier of US public universities — the admissions office admits most applicants who meet its stated academic and English requirements.

USA Student Visa Process for UCM

Indian students admitted to UCM apply for the F-1 student visa, granted by the US Embassy or Consulate in India. UCM’s International Student Services issues the Form I-20 after you accept the offer and clear financial documentation; the I-20 is what unlocks your visa appointment. Book the visa interview as early as your I-20 reaches you, because peak-season Chennai, Mumbai, and Hyderabad slots book out fast for June to August travel dates.

The visa file itself has four moving parts. Pay the SEVIS I-901 fee of USD 350 (around INR 33,565) and print the receipt. File Form DS-160 online and pay the machine-readable visa fee of USD 185 (around INR 17,742). Book the biometric and consular interview appointment. Carry the I-20, DS-160 confirmation, SEVIS receipt, bank documents, transcripts, and admit letter to the interview — most interviews at Indian consulates run about three to five minutes and focus on your programme choice, funding, and post-study intent.

2026 update: The US State Department is running expanded student visa interview waivers for renewals, but first-time F-1 applicants from India still need an in-person interview. Slots open in tranches, so check the appointment portal daily during peak weeks.

UCM rewards early, complete files; a well-prepared Indian applicant with a clean bachelor’s transcript at 3.0 GPA, IELTS 6.0, and clear finances usually converts into an offer within a month. Match your intake to the visa slot calendar, front-load the transcript evaluation, and keep the ranking band alongside the fee page while you decide.

Scholarship

  • In 2021 I remember I got a $1000 for getting a perfect 4.0 score. I do not remember the name of the Grant that made it possible for me to get tuition discounted which I remember was a great help!
  • Some of my batch-mates who also got a 4.0 had received the same auto deduction in tuition fee because of this auto application of the Grant.
  • I heard there were no scholarships given this year to international students.
