  • Some courses are updated and relevant, some seem to be a little behind.
  • You can do internships for the exposure/experience
  • Typically, 2-3 classes are scheduled, and timings are in the afternoon; however, for MIS people, classes can be in the evening.
  • For core courses, the average number can be around 120 students, and for electives, the minimum can be anywhere between 10-120.

Fees

  • For my program, it was around $50000 for two years.

  • The courses are well structured and the difficulty is moderate. Some courses are completely theoretical, but many courses have a tonne of assignments that help us develop those practical skills.
  • A positive aspect is the structure of each course to cover all the necessary topics and the negative one is the shortage of variety in course selection.
  • Usually classes are scheduled for 2 days, either Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday. There are some classes that are only scheduled on Fridays and they run for 3 hours, whereas the others run for 1.5 hours each.
  • Faculty members usually don't help in finding any part-time or full-time jobs but if they have good connections, they can get you in touch with some business officials.
  • I admire Prof. Garret Katz the most. He taught me Intro to Artificial Intelligence and that was the best course from my curriculum. The knowledge he has regarding AI is immense and hence, he was able to cover all the topics properly.

Fees

  • The fees breakdown was as follows:
    • Tuition: $56000
    • Living—$20000
  • The fees are charged each semester and based on the credits for each semester. We have to complete a total of 30 credits within 2 years. Each semester we can complete 9 credits and in the last semester we will have 3 credits left.
  • Monthly expenses are around $800, which include the monthly rent, groceries, etc.

  • My program offers a balance of theory and practical learning, blending concepts with real-world applications.
  • Courses like Applied Machine Learning and NLP include hands-on projects, while Quantitative Reasoning builds a strong theoretical base.
  • Though intense, it’s rewarding, with supportive faculty like Professor Dunhum, whose teaching and industry insights inspire.

Fees

  • The Fees is very high, it is 1850 per credit with around 500 additional charges per semester and health insurance is 3000 per year and my monthly expenses is around 800-900 dollars, which includes rend and groceries and other extra expenses
  • Overall it would cost at least $ 65,000 for college fees and 800-900 monthly expenses which can be covered by my part-time money

There are so many websites to find accommodation, you can try UHA or SQL to find your accommodation. You need to do your research to properly find a house which suits your preference, try to look for a house which is near to a bus stop & grocery shop as it'd be difficult in winter season to walk outside.

The university tries its best in updating the course every semester, but I do believe that there is a lot of room for improvement. In Business Analytics, a new course: Machine Learning for Business was introduced that helped students in utilizing modern Machine Learning concepts and Generative AI to solve business problems. Lean Six Sigma, an experiential course at SU, allowed me to work at Upstate Medical University and solve real-world problems using lean methodology. Therefore, thoroughly go through coursework before you enrol into a course.

Fees

I have received the Dean's Graduate Scholarship which waived 75% of my tuition fees. However, the fee per credit is 1800$. Depending on your program, the minimum number of credits varies. For Business Analytics, the minimum number of credits is 36 to be awarded a master's degree.

My professors are extremely talented and they are updated with the latest technologies. They keep updating the syllabus as the world changes and they also created new courses which teach the current technologies. Overall, really love the courses here, especially for the Data Science course and most of the subjects would require a project to be done, so that increases our practical knowledge as well.

Fees

The credit cost when I joined was, $1870, there are 34 credits. 1870*34 = $63580. To complete the entire course. Syracuse usually provides Scholarships so that helps.

So the course curriculum lies in line with the degree that I'm pursuing that is engineering management we have courses in project management lean six Sigma business analytics and these aspects is what the industrial and the organizations are looking for if you want to go in the analytics domain and I think it has helped me a lot the course and the structure also they teach in-depth about every system suppose if it is tableau we have courses that reflect and give you an in-depth knowledge for the same

Overall my experience was one of the best periods and I made many friends. The winters were really tough, summer were really fun but mostly quiet due to holidays but overall it is a remembering memory.

There are total of 30 credits. Each subject is of three credits. We have to complete four mandatory core courses and six electives that can be chosen from variety of colleges. Faculty-student is ratio is well maintained. Do not know the specifics.

Fees

Fees payment is all through the education loan that was sanctioned in India. All the fundings are from nationalized bank in India. Other academic expenses are covered by working on-campus jobs which will be enough to manage day-to-day expenses.
