- SDSU offers specialization options in whichever feild you are intrested in.
- SDSU gives flexiblility in completion of masters degree in 2 to 3 years
- It offers wide benefits to students for free like weekly groceries, gym, sports, bowling alley, gaming zones and more
Dislikes
- Campus is located on a hill which has no flat roads, driving is little difficult here.
- Parking is only free for staff, students need to buy monthly pass
- On campass cafe and restaurents provide expensive food
- We used Google Maps to find nearby renting apartments near campus and directly applied via referrals from seniors we connected with on LinkedIn. I would be happy to help my juniors find one.
- The monthly rent is $2930 with all facilities like a pool, garden, open area, parking, etc.
- Finding accommodation was not a challenge for me.
- Diplomat Apartments, Dorchester Apartments, and Penthouse Apartments.
- My apartment is around 1 mile away from the main campus.

- Expensive living arrangements (preferably find off campus housing)
- You have to be on top of your own course requirements (No one is going to lookout for you)
- International Students can only work part-time during their course-work where as local students can work full time even during their course-work, which is worse because international students pay more tuition fee for the same course in comparison to local students
- I found my accommodation through Facebook, WhatsApp, and Telegram groups. Initial search for incoming students in the same situation as me was difficult. Searching in college groups is the first step to getting more connections for accommodation searches and teaming up with other students in the same boat as us.
- I found a group that had finalised on renting a 3-bedroom townhouse 5 minutes walking distance from SDSU and we shared it among 6 people. Our rent was $3300, which got divided up into $550 per person + $50 utilities.

- Using online groups from my consultancy and approaching seniors for help resulted in solid options for living spaces.I paid $2800 a month for a 2BHK apartment. The apartment is furnished with facilities such as a swimming pool, refrigerator, washing machine, dishwasher, gas stove, oven, and storage space.The challenge was there weren't many Indian students, so it was hard for me to find accommodation.
- However, after some time and effort, I got to a good place.
- Tips for Future Students: I would encourage contacting seniors on LinkedIn; theyoffer great advice and help with a good place to stay.
- The distance from campus is maybe about 1 mile, so it's very easy and convenient tocommute.Most Indian students prefer staying in Penthouse, Dorchester, and Diplomat apartments. They are about 1 mile from the college and offer a comfortable, student-
friendly environment.

Dislikes
- Not lot of companies come for career fair in CS but there are a lot of construction companies that come in career fair.
- You may see Homeless people but not in main areas of campus and Police is always there so it is safe.
- I live in Dorchester Apartments (1.2 miles away from campus). The seniors are super helpful; they helped us get accommodation.
- For a 2B2B, the rent is around $2700-3000 depending upon apartment size.
- The main challenge was a guarantor, who should be living and earning in the USA. So if you have any relatives in the USA, that would be great or one of your roommates should have a guarantor in the USA.
- Incoming students can ping any seniors on LinkedIn; they will help with accommodation at off-campus apartments.
- Generally, Indian students live in Dorchester, Penthouses, or Diplomat Apartments. These are opposite each other and about 1.2 miles from the university.

- College in proximity with lots of startups and industries in the field of biomedical engineering, affordable fees.
- Lots of research opportunities across different fields, very experienced professors to provide guidance in research fields, very active on-campus groups and activities, great location, affordable cost of attendance
Dislikes
- Very few on-campus opportunities to network with industry partners, lesser academic scholarship opportunities available (at least in engineering fields) as compared to other California universities, no independent PhD degree provided by SDSU
It was a very learning experience for me. I gained a bunch of research opportunities, network with academic professionals via conferences, very supportive professors, ample on-campus job opportunities to help with sustenance.
