Penn's ED program is binding, meaning admission requires you to withdraw all other applications and enroll to Penn only (if offered). Based on the established annual pattern, the projected ED deadline is November 1, 2026, with decisions expected in mid-December 2026.

Regular Decision (RD) - Non-Binding:

The projected RD deadline is January 5, 2027, with decisions expected by late March / April 1, 2027. Accepted RD students (including those deferred from ED) have until May 1 to accept Penn's offer of admission.

Note for Indians: ED is advantageous only if UPenn is your clear first choice and your application is fully competitive by November 1.

The graduate application deadlines at UPenn vary depending on the program and its school. 

UPenn School of Engineering & Applied Science (SEAS):

Applications for master's programs open September 15, with a deadline of February 1.
