Park University Admission 2027

Park University runs two international intakes per year with a rolling review that starts once a file is complete. Indian applicants apply through the university’s own online portal, pay a USD 75 non-refundable application fee, and typically target the Fall or Spring cycle depending on programme availability.

MilestoneDateNotes for Indian Applicants
Spring 2027 international deadline (UG + PG)15 October 2026Applies to files sponsored for an F-1 I-20
Fall 2027 international deadline (UG + PG)1 May 2027Rolling review; earlier submission speeds visa timelines
Credential verification (WES/ECE)Start 8-10 weeks before deadlineCourse-by-course evaluation required for Indian transcripts
Spring 2027 semester startJanuary 2027Programme start; not a submission deadline
Fall 2027 semester startAugust 2027Primary intake for most Indian applicants

Planning note: Park issues the I-20 only after tuition-deposit clearance and Affidavit of Support review, so Indian applicants aiming for a January 2027 start should have SEVIS payment ready by mid-October 2026 to leave a full month for the visa interview slot at a US consulate in India.

Park University Admission Requirements for Indian Applicants 2027

Indian applicants must meet Park University’s academic thresholds, submit an English proficiency score, and provide financial documentation for the F-1 I-20.

Graduate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with cumulative 2.75 GPA on a 4.0 scale (equivalent to 60% or CGPA 6.0/10); the MS Information Systems and Business Analytics requires GPA 3.0 (equivalent to CGPA 7.0/10) plus prior statistics coursework.
  • English proficiency: TOEFL iBT 79 (0-120 scale), IELTS 6.5, or Duolingo English Test 110. Waiver applies if the bachelor’s degree was completed in English.
  • Credential evaluation: Course-by-course WES or ECE evaluation of Indian transcripts.
  • Financial documents: Affidavit of Support signed by sponsor plus a US-dollar bank statement covering nine months of costs.

Undergraduate Requirements

  • Class 12 with cumulative 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale (equivalent to 55% or higher across major boards).
  • English proficiency: TOEFL iBT 69 (0-120 scale) or 4.0 (1-6 band scale for tests taken in 2026 or after), IELTS 6.0, Duolingo English Test 100, or PTE Academic 53.
  • Application file: Passport copy, Statement of Purpose written without AI assistance, Affidavit of Support and USD 75 application fee.

Key insight: Park University does not require GRE or GMAT scores for any master’s programme, so Indian graduate applicants can focus test preparation entirely on English proficiency and save around three months of standardised test cost and prep.

Park University Acceptance Rate 2027

Park University publishes a moderately selective admission profile with an estimated 67% (estimated) acceptance rate for freshman applicants, derived from third-party admissions data rather than an official university disclosure. The rate applies primarily to undergraduate admits; graduate acceptance is programme-specific and generally higher for applicants who clear the GPA and English thresholds.

An acceptance rate near two-thirds signals a moderately open pathway rather than a highly competitive one, and the file is read holistically alongside the statement of purpose and academic transcripts.

Reality check: A 67% acceptance rate is not the barrier at Park University; the real filter for Indian applicants is the Affidavit of Support and the I-20 financial documentation, which must show liquid funds of around USD 40,000 to 45,000 for the first year.

Park University Campus, Facilities and Student Life

Park University’s main campus sits on 800 acres of wooded bluffs above the Missouri River in Parkville, roughly 15 miles northwest of downtown Kansas City, with 41 additional campus centers serving working professionals across 22 US states.

  • Location and transit: Parkville is a small riverside town connected to downtown Kansas City by a 20-minute drive; Kansas City International Airport (MCI) is under 15 miles from campus.
  • Housing: On-campus residence halls cost USD 8,978 per nine-month academic year, with international freshmen prioritised when they apply early.
  • Notable facility: Mackay Hall, built between 1883 and 1893 from campus-mined limestone, is a National Register of Historic Places landmark and houses core administrative and academic offices.
  • Student body: Undergraduates and graduates study across on-campus, hybrid and online formats, with an Indian student presence supported through the International Student Services office.
  • Athletics and clubs: Park competes in NAIA athletics as the Pirates, with a nationally competitive volleyball programme and 20-plus student clubs on the Parkville campus.

What Indian students say: Indian students report that the small class size at Park University helps compared with large state universities, and that Kansas City’s tech and healthcare employers regularly recruit for CPT internships without requiring East or West Coast relocation.

Park University Rankings 2027

Park University’s strongest ranking sits with US News Best Regional Universities Midwest, where the 2026 edition places it in the #145-160 band; the university is not ranked as a single entity by QS, THE or ARWU because those bodies focus on research-intensive doctoral institutions.

As per US News 2026, Park University also ranks #158 in Top Performers on Social Mobility among Regional Universities Midwest, a category that measures graduation outcomes for Pell-eligible students.

Key insight: A regional-university ranking does not affect F-1 visa eligibility or OPT rights, and Kansas City employers treat Park University as an established local recruiter pool, which is what actually matters for post-graduation hiring in the Missouri metro.

Park University Placements and Career Outcomes 2027

Park University does not publish a centralised annual placement report; career outcomes are supported through its Career Development office, which serves the Parkville campus and 41 nationwide campus centers.

  • Median mid-career salary: USD 65,000 to 85,000 (INR 61.4 to 80.3 lakh) for Park graduates in business, IT and healthcare administration, based on market medians for Kansas City metro employers rather than a university disclosure.
  • Top hiring sectors: Financial services, healthcare, defence contracting, IT services and education administration, with employers concentrated in the Kansas City and greater Missouri metro area.
  • Career support: One-on-one advising, resume workshops, on-campus career fairs and access to the Handshake job platform for both CPT and OPT roles.
  • Post-study work rights: 12 months of OPT for all F-1 graduates; MS Information Systems and Business Analytics and other STEM-designated tracks qualify for the 24-month STEM OPT extension, taking total US work eligibility to 36 months.
  • Alumni: Notable graduates include Olympic gold medallist Maurice Greene and hospitality expert Anthony Melchiorri.

Insider note: Indian graduates who target the Kansas City metro rather than New York or San Francisco tend to convert OPT to H-1B faster at Park University because local mid-size employers file lower H-1B volumes and see less lottery competition.

Park University vs Peer Universities

The peer set below compares Park University with three Midwest regional universities on the same US News category and one national research university that Indian applicants often shortlist alongside Park.

University of Missouri-Kansas City#331-440 NationalUSD 27,000 (estimated)25.52 lakhPublic research university; doctoral programmes

[Source: US News Best Colleges 2026]

Park University stands out for the lowest published international tuition in its Midwest peer set and for a rare STEM-designated business analytics master’s that unlocks a 36-month OPT window. The trade-off is a lower research profile and a smaller Indian alumni base than the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

Park University suits an Indian applicant who values a moderate USD 34 to 42 lakh total investment against a Kansas City median starting salary of USD 55,000 to 70,000, delivered through a small-class F-1 pathway with a 36-month STEM OPT runway via the MS Information Systems and Business Analytics. The Elite Award of up to USD 6,500 per year, waived GRE and GMAT, and the option to fold on-campus semesters into a fully online catalogue give applicants unusual flexibility for a US private university.

Park University is not the right fit for applicants seeking a top-100 global research brand, doctoral funding, or heavy Silicon Valley recruiter presence; those profiles will find better outcomes at a national research university like University of Missouri-Kansas City.

Park University FAQs

Ques. Does Park University waive the GRE for Indian graduate applicants?

Ans. Yes, Park University does not require GRE or GMAT scores for any of its master’s programmes, including the MBA and the MS in Information Systems and Business Analytics. Indian graduate applicants only need to clear the undergraduate GPA threshold of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale and submit a valid TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo score, saving around three months of standardised-test preparation and testing fees.

Ques. Can Indian students work part time while studying at Park University?

Ans. Yes, F-1 visa holders at Park University can work up to 20 hours per week on campus during regular semesters and up to 40 hours per week during official breaks. Off-campus employment through Curricular Practical Training becomes available after one full academic year of enrolment, subject to programme approval and Designated School Official authorisation from the International Student Services office.

Ques. What is the application fee for Park University for Indian students?

Ans. Park University charges a non-refundable application fee of USD 75 (approximately INR 7,088) for international undergraduate and graduate applicants, payable by international credit card at the time of application submission. The fee is separate from the SEVIS I-901 fee of USD 350 required after admission and the USD 185 visa application fee paid to the US Embassy in India for the F-1 interview.

Ques. Which Indian bank loans are accepted for the Park University I-20?

Ans. Park University accepts an education loan sanction letter from any recognised Indian bank or NBFC as valid financial proof for the Affidavit of Support and I-20 issuance, including SBI, HDFC Credila, Axis, ICICI, Auxilo and Avanse. The sanction letter must be in US dollars or convert to at least USD 40,000 to 45,000 for the first year, and must be dated within six months of the I-20 request.

Ques. Is the MS in Information Systems and Business Analytics STEM-designated at Park University?

Ans. Yes, the MS in Information Systems and Business Analytics at Park University is a STEM-designated CIP-code programme, which qualifies graduates for the 24-month STEM OPT extension on top of the standard 12-month OPT. This delivers a total US work eligibility of 36 months post-graduation, giving Indian graduates three H-1B lottery cycles to secure long-term employer sponsorship in the United States.

Ques. How long does the F-1 visa process take after Park University admission?

Ans. Indian admits typically receive the Park University I-20 within seven to fourteen days of tuition-deposit clearance and Affidavit of Support review. After I-20 receipt, the SEVIS payment takes one to two working days, DS-160 filing a further day, and the visa interview slot at US consulates in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata or Hyderabad usually opens within three to eight weeks depending on peak-season volume.

Ques. What is the credit transfer policy at Park University for Indian bachelor’s degrees?

Ans. Park University evaluates Indian bachelor’s transcripts through a course-by-course WES or ECE credential evaluation for graduate admission. For undergraduate transfer, up to 90 credit hours of prior college coursework can be transferred toward a 120-credit bachelor’s degree, subject to a minimum grade of C in each course and confirmation that the course maps to a Park University catalogue equivalent.

Ques. Are English test waivers available at Park University for Indian applicants?

Ans. Yes, Park University waives the TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo and PTE requirement for Indian applicants whose bachelor’s degree was completed entirely in English at a recognised institution. Applicants must submit a medium-of-instruction certificate from their undergraduate university confirming English as the language of instruction and assessment across all semesters; the waiver is granted at the discretion of International Student Services.

Overview

They are part of the AU ABC program and were very helpful in figuring out what I needed for my degree. They had a representative on base who was able to answer questions I had and walk me through getting my TA set up. Unlike other colleges, I was looking into they were not pushy with harassing calls during my workday and contacted me via email as I requested. The combination of online and on-site classes give me robust opportunities for working on my degree.

Fees

Just having to pay for books. One class used ProctorU which had exam fees, that would truly be my only complaint about something I had to pay for.
