Overview
I chose this university because of it's top international ranking - 27th. Highly reputed with world-class infrastructure. More opportunities for research in engineering field.
Campus Life
The university has many international societies and each conducts its events and the student halls conduct their special events every month. These events consist of food events, sports activities, and even day trips. Wifi is available throughout the university area and almost all the outlets have access to free wifi. The university holds an amazing arena for sports enthusiasts and they are maintained regularly. The university library is a second home to most of the students and provides all that a student needs.
Overview
I went to UNLV because I lived in the state of Nevada and I wanted to use the Millennial Scholarship. I wanted to choose from a wide variety of programs and I wanted to attend a large university. I wanted to move away from my home town but also stay in state. UNLV satisfied all those needs.
Fees
Student fees existed. They went towards the gym, library, and other student services. One large fee was paid at the beginning of each semester. Classes had their own fees sometimes as well.
Overview
Instate, cheap, full ride + refund. I wanted to save money and literally was given the opportunity to obtain my bachelors for free, and I plan on going to medical school after. It only made sense to get this paid for so I don't add even more debt that I will be getting in medical school.
Fees
I'm a unique case because I started college paid for (blessed) because of FAFSA, school grants and scholarships. So I basically sign up for classes then right when class is about to start I get the receipt that the payment went through. But it is about 200 something a credit, and your tuition includes insurance for the health center and access to the gym and such.
Overview
UNLV is my local college. I attended mostly because the tuition would be a resident cost and not an out of state tuition cost. I started as an education major and became a social work major after realizing that fit my wants more.
Fees
Tuition was the largest cost, at about $100-$200 a credit. The fees that really frustrated me and other students were things like study abroad and other fees that we did not choose to use.
