I applied to 4 colleges Binghamton University - Admitted Buffalo University - Admitted Arizona State University - Admitted Florida University - Rejected I received admission from 3 colleges, which were Binghamton University, Buffalo University, Arizona State University Yes, I received rejected from Florida University only Low GRE Score could be the reason for my rejection The most major factor was the tuition fees and housing compared to other cities First collect your scores (GRE, TOEFL), prepare the bachelor's degree mark sheet. prepare statement of purpose, Submit 3 letter of recommendation. Submit Resume Fill out the online admission form, upload the documents and pay the application fee. Above 90 TOEFL score, GRE SCORE above 300, Min GPA 3.0 The experience was very smooth; they had only tracking system and it was easy to track the status. Some challenges were waiting for the letter of recommendation, as it delayed the process. Due to my surname problem in my sheet, I had to get a gazette and upload it. I applied to the Sprint intake at Binghamton University. I had about 2 years of experience already working as a software engineer and I wanted to advance my degree. Moreover, the Machine learning field was on rise and the United States was a perfect destination to learn and apply the latest technology. The class size during Spring intake is smaller compared to Fall Semester so it was easier to pay attention and learn from the professors. For me it took about 2 months. After gathering all my documents, I submitted my application but then came the spring break, which was about 2 weeks so that delayed the process, in the next email i received the confirmation and before the acceptance, I needed to submit my vaccine reports on their portal. I chose SUNY at Binghamton • University of North Texas Denton (Admitted) Maybe my bachelor's was in Electronics and Telecommunication and had an average score; the first two rejected my application, UNT chose to offer me Computer Engineering, and SUNY at Binghamton offered me an MS in CS major. It has a good ranking among SUNY campuses and on the east coast. Plus affordable living and competitive courses. I had to get Transcripts, reach out to professors for LORs, draft multiple SOP, appear for GRE and TOEFL, pay the application fees, Once admitted, appear for a VISA interview. Minimum scores (GRE: It was waived off due to COVID; TOEFL: 79) Admission process is quite lengthy. Draughting SOP was a task. I resigned from my job in May 2021. Moreover, the courses that they offer were a perfect balance of technical and management aspects in the industrial domain. Admission Process: Strong SOP (aligned with the programme which I wanted to pursue) Strong LOR (2 Professional and 1 Academic) IELTS (minimum 6.5) Overall, the experience for me was very smooth, as I followed the steps that were mentioned on the website and also met a representative who visited Mumbai to clear some doubts I had. Massachusetts Institute of technology (offer) (but not CS program) In my opinion i was too late to submit application for NJIT and for ohio state University , somehow my documents were not getting approved so every week there was some new update regarding documentation, but at other universities it got approved , not sure about OSU. My preference was to study in East coast which has lot of good university And New York was one of the states that i want to study in. SUNY binghamton is top public university . The computer science program of the university is ranked among the top. I had research opportunities here even before starting the university , i had talked to the professors here about my interests and my work , so they offered me research assistant under them which is helping me a lot in terms of learning , personal growth , professional growth as well as finances. Admission process was quite easy , you have to fill application through their portal. You have to submit some documents which almost every university asks. Overall the process was very smooth and it hardly took them 2 weeks to give me a offer letter and complete every documentation. I have given IELTS and GRE both , so i guess eligibility criteria must be any language proficiency Exam (ielts , toefl etc) + a Good GRE score will help you get desired branch . Reason to choose this particular college : Binghamton University has a very big name on the East Coast, especially for CS, with a good reputation and IBM history. Had really good courses that aligned perfectly with my goals and visions. The living expenses are reasonable compared to other areas, and they have really good alumni connections. Admission Process : Rolling admissions were conducted. The GRE was not mandatory but good if submitted. The TOEFL score was submitted by me with the official transcript. All official documents were considered, and then I got the decision in 2 weeks. Eligibility Criteria : Relevant courses to your master's programme have to be done in your bachelor's, or a related degree should be there. GRE scores, if available (at the time of my admission, the GRE was waived), TOEFL/IELTS scores, and an official transcript with a good GPA. A minimum TOEFL score of 90 should be there for better chances of getting admitted. Overall Admission Experience : Very smooth and straightforward, faced no challenges, got a timely decision, and the team was giving quick responses for all my queries. I applied to only SUNY Binghamton and UTSA, accepted in both. Applied to SUNY on March, get admit on June 1st week. Applied to UTSA on Jan, got admit by april. No rejections. Selecting this clg for low cost and since it is in NY state(which is good for job search). After acceptance, need to pay the one time confirmation fees of $100. IELTS > 6.5. No GRE required. Also found courses and specifications relevant to my internet. I also got an option to get credits by doing an internship. Also got positive reviews from my seniors who graduated or are still studying in this University.
