  • Follow the pattern correctly which are required for the documents like CV, SOP, LOR which are highly enough to have a best application and try to apply as early as possible to get a good scholarship as it plays a small part in getting a good scholarship.

Admission Experience

  • I have decided to pursue my master's only in the US because the US is a land of opportunities and I felt getting a master's degree from the US was a bit more valuable than getting it from other countries so I have decided to pursue my master's only in the US.
  • Pace University ranked #266 among National Universities by U.S. News and World Report. Pace university offers all the programs with specializations but it is famous for some tech courses like Cybersecurity and Computer Science. Pace University is located at One Pace Plaza, New York, NY, 10038-1598.
  • Pace university provides numerous career opportunities if we follow their coursework strictly, as they conduct many workshops, career fairs and tech meetings frequently, which will be helpful to showcase our talent. My overall experience at Pace university is good but it has some minus points as well, like on-campus opportunities, which you can find hard to get. Rest everything is good.

Class Schedule

8

  • Usually for graduate student and my course has 3 classes in a week. In those 2 are offline and the other one is online. Most of the classes have evening timings like 6:00pm to 9:00pm The average strength of the class is 28 students. Most of the class has Indians in it like on an average of (26/28) Apart from the regular classes, mostly it takes around 10-12 hrs ( it depends based on person) for assignments and self study at home.

Faculty

8

  • Faculty members are good for each and every course as they are highly qualified and have immense practical knowledge. The student faculty ratio is also good as it mostly have 1:25 in ratio which is quite good and professors are not surely helpful in getting a part time or full time job but might be helpful in getting a job through reference.

Campus Life

8

  • Our university conducts almost 3 events every week which are helpful and enjoyable like tech events, clubs, fun events etc.
  • My university has 2 Campuses the main campus is located at Westchester NY, whereas the other one is located in NYC. Many of the Indian students prefer to study at NYC campus. My university have all type of facilities be it a library, indoor ground and medical support hall. Based on the occasions in a particular week my university conducts every possible event for both international and domestic students. It includes various fun activities, free food, dance and music etc.

Part Time Jobs

  • Most of the Indian students prefer working part time in technical departments like TA/RA and desk jobs. Average pay would be around 14/hr It is a bit difficult to get on-campus part time jobs but keep on applying and a good profile will get you in. The process is pretty simple there will a website for applying to part time jobs so based on the requirement and criteria we can apply to them.
  • On-campus is tough to get at Pace university. It depends on various factors like previous academic results, Resume, CV. The pay will mostly begin from 14$ per hour and can work up to 20hrs per week as per the rules and regulations.
  • TA/RA/DA roles totally depends on the professors like we need to approach the professor and ask for those roles and based on our academic stats professor might consider to consider to a particular role. As I said earlier if we follow the course work without missing any of the opportunities provided in the university then it is easy to get an internship. On-campus part time can be allowed to work for 20hrs.
  • As we know off campus part time is not allowed to do based on the rules so we can work off campus only after completion of 2 semesters and that too related to our coursework like internships for 20hrs per week.

Placement

6

  • About 60% people of the batch can secure a job within 6 months in completion of the course. The average salary will be around 75-90k$. Most of the students will get the jobs but again it requires immense efforts and determination to find a job based on the current market. Lowest salary offered will be 65k$ and highest will be around 150k$ based on the experience we have it can increase and decrease.

Accommodation

Off Campus
7

  • I live at off campus and it's easy to get off campus accommodation as there are many groups to find accommodation. Initially we might face challenges to get a right group but once we get a right accommodation group it's easy to find one. I recommend everyone to keep looking all the accommodation groups carefully and find a right accommodation and be carefully while paying the money if they ask as they are many scams going around us.
