Course Curriculum
- MS – Accounting Data Analytics was quite new and challenging for me, as there were a lot of analytics courses that were new for me. Mostly all the courses were a mix of both theoretical and practical.
- The negative aspect of the course was the number of credits. My course required me to do 41 credits.
- International students need a minimum of 9 credits per semester. Which are around 3 classes, and timings are usually in the evening from 5 pm to 9 pm.
- Yes, the career services are very helpful in helping students find part-time, on-campus, and full-time jobs.

Admission Experience
-
I had applied for the following universities:
- University of Massachusetts Boston—Admitted
- Penn State—Admitted
- Pace University—Admitted
- Since my major was accounting and there aren't many colleges that offer accounting in STEM, I just applied to Pace University, the University of Massachusetts Boston, and Penn State University. I wasn't rejected from either of the 2 mentioned above.
- Now there are other colleges too that are offering accounting as a STEM, namely Baruch College, Indiana State University, and Golden Gate University.
- Mainly due to location and job opportunities from the hub of the financial city—New York.
- Career Services department, which is very supportive in terms of building your profile and tailoring your resume.
- The admission process was quite straightforward, like other universities. You need to make an application and pay $70 in application fees, fill in your personal details, and submit all the necessary documents, like unofficial transcripts, IELTS, a personal statement, a resume, and two letters of recommendation.
- Once admitted, you need to show your funds to get the I-20 to get the Visa stamping and submit the official transcripts via your university or in a sealed envelope
- To be admitted, you must have an IELTS score of 6.5. GMAT and GRE are optional but are encouraged.
- Overall, the admissions process was quite simple and straightforward. Only in the case of an international student was there a delay of response with any inquiry from the admissions department or financial aid department.
- I applied for the Fall 2021 intake and graduated in Fall 2022.
- The main reason to apply for the fall semester was the opportunity for internships in the summer semester. Also to finish my course early to start working through my OPT and STEM OPT.
- The admissions process took around 3 months as a whole for me to apply, prepare, and submit all the necessary documents and get the F-1 visa.
Faculty

- Almost 80% of the class is Indian.
- The faculty-to-student ratio is 1:25, which is quite good as class strength is also low.
- There is also a lot of self-learning, and one has to do reading of research papers and get equipped with pre-required courses. Although the faculty are quite helpful too in terms of helping and solving your doubts.

Accommodation
- For accommodation, Pace University students mostly stay in Jersey City, New Jersey, which is quite affordable and easy to commute to. We found the apartments on the Zillow app, which is mainly for searching for apartments for rent.
- For sharing room: $350 and Private room: $750
- Electricity—Approx. $65 and Wi-Fi—$35 (200 Mbps)
- The difficulties we faced were that the apartment should be close to a walkable commute to the subway station and nearby grocery stores.
- For future students, find apartments that are within a 10-minute walkable distance of Journal Square PATH Station to commute to New York.
