What Students Say

- So basically the university is in the middle of the New York so u will be getting the NY vibes alot.
- The classes uses high technology boards and tv's to to teach u and the way the interact will be unique and also the wifi is pretty damn good.
- You will be getting alot of free food in the campus daily.
Dislikes
- I have taken master's in data science and till now they've been teaching me python only.
- Inspite of having all these high end technology for job hunt they wont actually prepare u for those like they wont be teaching u stuff like apache spark, airflow and snowflake like tools.
- The administrator never responds to u properly and also they take alot of time.
Course Curriculum
- It was very easy all u need to do was learn python as thorough as possible thats it. mostly it would be practical u will be doing alot of projects. My positive aspects would be u will be lots python project and so it will be helpful for ur resume and also for job hunt and if u take a look at the negative aspects i guess u will only be learning either python or SQL. So mostly my classes are 3 days in a week and also it is scheduled from 6 to 9 pm one class is online.
- So part time jobs yea it is purely based on referrals and also it may sound racist but it is also based on the community u belong to like gujrati, marathi and also telugu yea i know it sounds weird but it is. I dont admire anyone.
Admission Experience
- I applied for 3 Universities which are Kent state University, Pace University and NJIT and i got offer letters from all these 3 universities. I didn't face any rejections from universities since i applied to selected universities and also it has been done through consultancy so i dont know about it and i have also received scholarship of $6000 dollars for every year i have completed master's by one half year so years thats it i guess.
- First of all compared to other 2 universities this was cheap and also my seniors where doing master's there so there was no need for me to search for accommodation there, they took care of me from the beginning. i applied to these university via consultancy where they spoke about this university as if it is harvard university and also they took care of me entire process and there was no need for me to pay too and i wrote TOEFL and GRE and where i scored 104 and 316, and i didnt face any challenges when i was applying.
- I applied for fall intake and yeah the fees were low compared to other 2 universities which i have applied and also my senior's stayed there and there was no need for me to search for accommodation. So admission process took around 3 months for me from Jan 2023 to March 2023. I got my acceptance by June 2023. And since my father works at bank i was able to secure loan by the i received the offer letter.
Faculty
- The average number of students are mostly from 8-60 and mostly everyone is Indian's enrolled in the course u will hardly find any domestic students in ur group. it is like 30:70 ratio 30% would be the professor and 70% would be the students and it wont affect anything.
- Teaching methodology would be basically they teach u using the university computer connected with the board and they run ppt slides teaching each slide and it will be sufficient for u to just the listen the class and yea as i told u they wont be teaching anything related to job field, you have to indulge yourself with it find it and do error and trial method no one will be helping u in that aspect.
Campus Life
- There many events conducted on campus u will be finding wide variety of events in our uni such as tea and coffee where u will get the chance to interact with ur seniors and also the people who are doing on campus jobs and try to get their referral through them and mostly for every event u will be getting free food which is quite motivation for most of the students living here.
- Most popular events would be Job events where most of the companies come and reject onspot and saying ur not us civilian and also ask documents which u dont have.
Part Time Jobs
- Maximum u have to work for about 20hrs a week and also 40 hrs a week during summer and it is based on the referral and pay range would be 15 to 20 per hour, trust me it is very difficult to acquire a on campus job and they mostly indian students gets their on campus job on TA, RA post they cant get into cafeteria and all it is only for domestic students.
- U have to apply through referral link which you receive from your seniors and also from university portal.
Placement
- I am graduating and the market is not good and i have been applying around 100 application every 3 days and this also referral thing and mostly every student acquire jobs around after completing their master's and their pay range would be from 80k to 200k so thats why people do master's because the more u invest the more u will be getting back but its a useless topic anyways lets move on.
Accommodation
- Off campus and my monthly expenses would be like around $600 and if we break it down then the rent is $430, for travelling $70 and for food it would be $100. i didnt search for accomodation i got it through my senior's friend referral and mostly we can search for houses at whatsapp and telegram , i didnt face any troubles when i was securing accommodations, my recommendation would be look into into whatsapp groups and also telegram and plan for it as soon as possible.
- I stay in NJ so i have to take one train to reach world trade center and from there i just have to walk and to university it is quite near to me.
Exams
- Generally u just need IELTS and TOEFL and for application nothing more needed GRE is like standing out among your peers to get selected as fast as possible.
- Yeah so u need SOP and LOR as well as CV when u apply for the university , u can get the LOR from your professors in B.Tech university and also SOP, they didnt take any interview for me. Generally they wont take interview apart from few universities.
Fees
- So the tuition fees is $28782 and for living expenses it was $23000 and scholarship was $6000, health insurance was $2650 and in total it would be $54432, this yearly based and in total u have to complete 30 credits for your master's.
- My monthly expenses would be like around $600 and if we break it down then the rent is $430, for travelling $70 and for food it would be $100.
Scholarship
- I received $6000 scholarship per year and also there is no specific name and eligibility criteria is also not received from the university some people even received around $9000 per year so i guess it is based on the way u apply for it and also these consultancy guys have some coupons when they apply and my didnt come through consultancy so he didn't receive any scholarship amount .
