A true and genuine review of IIFT Kakinada

Likes

Faculty is welcoming. All the teachers are interactive.
Regular webinars and seminars with different industry leaders.
Good functioning of club, committee and chapter activities even though the college is not that big yet

Dislikes

We don't have our own campus . We are studying in JNTU campus and are deprived of various campus facilities
Hostel is too far from college that we have to go from buses ( which college only provides).
The warden and caretaker are too rude. The girls hostel area is not good . They live in a society, so whenever they make a little noise , someone always complaints.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course consists of different subjects in every semester. Honestly, i didn't choose this college for it's curriculum but its pretty nice. Teachers gives real life cases and examples which helps to understand the situation of real world too. Area that need to be improved is the working of scheduled revision classes. There are revisin classes in the shedule but its always the holidays. All the exams are on consecutive days regardless of their difficulty level. This makes exams more challenging.

IIFT KAKINADA IPM HONEST REVIEW

Likes

Hostel rooms are big and have AC and attached bathrooms. Shared by 2 students.
Good mess menu with chicken, paneer and eggs regularly.
Very well equipped classrooms and good infrastructure for the college building.

Dislikes

No sports facilities. Students have to hire turfs and courts to play sports. The campus is under construction so it's fine as of now.
Hostels are distant from college. However, students are provided with bus transportation (managed by me).
No visiting hours allowed at hostels, so it gets difficult to do group projects.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very diverse and interesting. We have subjects ranging from yoga, economics and psychology to CMA, HRM, CSR, Power BI, python, Excel etc. The curriculum is very practical based, and focuses on real life application. The exams are held twice every semester and are moderate to high level of difficulty.

The course seems to be very relevant and upto date as IIFT Kakinada is a new institution, we almost have all the tooics covered in a very good manner and its very academically challenging and extremely rigorous

My experience at IIFT - MBA

Placement Experience:

Almost 100% of the students got placement from our college every year. Top recruiting companies for campus placement are Goldman Sachs, JPMC, Unilever, Bajaj Auto, Godrej, Tata Sky, and Airtel. The average salary package offered is 18LPA. The highest package offered is of 40LPAThe college has placement committee and college management work together to improve the college placement standards.
