Hostel Mess food should be improved as it not up to the mark
rooms cleaning should be done in order to stay hygenic
cleanliness quality of hostel need to improved as there are lot's of dirty surrounding us

Hostel Facilities:

In hostel room they provide the cot for the bed to keep and sleep also the provide us with the cupboard to keeep the things and provide study chairs to study.. The most thing is they provide drawer to keep things for us.. Meal quality is good but the food which they provide is quite not upto the mark and they should improve it.. There are 2 types of mess in our college The premium mess and undergraduate mess.. Premium mess provide us with lot's of variety of food and it's quite good but undergraduate mess is quite average.. We have to register to the mess at the starting of the semester and if we have to change the mess we have to change at the starting of new semester.. Hostel regsitration process is they send us mail asking what type of hostel do we want whether ac or non ac rooms/. We have to send our response to them immediately as they check and give us the rooms based on the availability.. No i generally prefer staying in the hostel in the campus because if we choose outside a hostel for pg or room we might not be able to concentrate in our studies

Pros and cons of SNU

I have choosen 3 sharing AC room On first year we do not have any option but to opt a 3 sharing room both non ac nd ac rooms are available In second year we have a option to choose 3,2 or single sharing room Fees for Ac rooms are 134000 For non ac its 80000 We have two types of mess premium and normal It's 150 rs per day in premium mess and 100 in normal mess

SNUC - A fresh and modern place to learn

The hostel facility is good. There are multiple types of rooms available, shared, non shared, ac, non ac. The mess is of two types, premium mess and regular mess. The premium one costs 150 and the regular one costs 105. The menu is different in both but that's pretty much it. The hostel is pretty affordable as compared to other colleges. The locality is pretty out of the city. It's on the outskirts of Chennai. The area is empty and not very developed. However, there are many apartments outside and close to the college to rent and a few PGs too.

Overview of life at SNU Chennai

The hostel rooms are well furnished and contain all required and necessary furniture, like, a cot, a table, a chair, a cupboard, and fans based on the number of people staying in the room. The mess is also fine with homely food that won't cause any harm. There's a feast held every month end. Mess bill ranges from 150-250 per day based on the menu we choose (Normal or Premium).

Best College In Chennai

There is particularly nothing to be disliked in my college but the distance from the hostel to academics is too good for health for person who don't feel like walking.

The hostel facilities are well equipped offering furnished rooms with beds, studytables cupboards and attached/ shared bathrooms. Wifi laundry, and common recreational areas are provided. The mess serves a rotating menu with decent meal quality though variety and taste could improve. The hostel registration process is straightforward with an application based on first come first served availability. Fees are affordable compared to private PGs.

Mess food also not so good,quality of food is ok but i think they have to do better than that.
I disliked the hostel management and hostel cleaning because they are not doing good.

In the hostel there are wifi ethernet but cable we have to bring,there is availability of hot water both for bathing and drinking. But room cleaning is not provided. We have to do room cleaning no one will come for cleaning rooms. Meal quality is very poor and we some times get some houseflies and insects in it.It is very bad. Registration process said when we are paying tution fee. Hostel fees is affordable.There is no availability of PG nearby as we have to pay bus fee which is also same as hostel fee

FACTS ABOUT SNU CHENNAI

Hostel facility is good as they give you a variety of options to choose from according to your needs . The hostel has a mess system which provides meals for students and the quality of food is good . Even if any kind of issue is faced by anyone , a complain is raised and the issue is solved immediately. Registration for hostel comes in during the admission process itself In our locality there are many apartments which students rent and the price varies from your needs

Canteen food is good, but price keeps increasing every semester which students find it a little tough

There are many annual fests and tech fests that happen in my college, They include INSTINCTS which is our annual fest, INVENTE AND DAKSHA our annual technical fests. Range of books at my library cover entire courses offer aloneg with the industry specific trends. Hostel conditions: could be way better than the current

Rooms depend on the block you get, it's pretty decent. But there are major issues with the restrooms in a few blocks, and also monkey problems. Another issue is clean drinking water. The mess is good for everyday food, but in general quality and food isn't the best

Coming to the hostels they are good. We will have two categories ac and non ac. And obviously the cost for non ac room is a little high. Mess food os decent. The hostel fee very affordable compared to outside.
